This sub was a great buy. Jbl always put out great products and I think this sub hits harder than rockfords new p3 sub.

I would like to know how this selectable smart impedence works. Is this sub a single or dual voice coil?

Single VC!!! But over sized! Having said that id rather a dual VC sub! Its not 1 ohm stable at all i know cause i tried! Id rather go for a sundown subwoofer or even a skar brand subwoofer!! But for a mainstream brand the s3 is not horrible its in my opinion predictable in proformance! Id look at sundown or american bass or skar (spelt with a k ,not a typo) befor jbl! Im only saying that cause the next subs i buy are gunna be either sundown or skar!
