Better Home Products ZCR 4872 Adjustable Closet Rod 48-inch to 72-inch

I installed this rod between two walls by screwing it into the studs. The distance between the two walls is about sixty inches (60") so I was happy to find this adjustable rod for sale on Amazon. It installed very easily. After I installed it I hung some jackets, shirts and pants on it. Because of the "play" between the two adjustible pieces, this rod sags in a way that makes it look like a smiling face. I will keep this item because I am confident that it is secure into the wall studs. However it looks very bad and I am scared that it might fail some day. Made in China, gets one star "deduction" from me on that variable.

I bought this closet rod to convert a large entertainment bureau into a wardrobe. The picture makes it appear as if all pieces would line up flush against the wall but in fact the top screw hole is bent at a 90 degree angle. Very easy to bend back into the place I needed it, but still not quite as I'd intended. Overall, the product is fine.

There were metal tabs at a 90 degree angle to the ends that had to be bent back in order to fit flush against the wall. I think those allowed the rod to be suspended from the bottom of a shelf, but we needed it screwed into the wall.

I had to extend it a good part of the way. it does its job but bows int he middle so I have to shove my clothes to either side of it to feel confident that it won't break. Pretty much what's expected for the price.

I sent it back. I thought it would fit well in my son's closet and I'm sure it would have, but it has flanges that don't make much sense to me. Also, once it's up, it's not coming back down. I guess I thought this would have some sort of spring mechanism like a toilet roll holder so it could stay up and come off if I needed to wash the curtains it was holding.

This product is great. It was difficult to find something that extends 72". This item was perfect for what I needed. As others have said it isn't as pictured, but simply fixed. I bent the two tabs at the top with pliers. I left off a star for not being as pictured. For the price this is a steal!

didn't really fit my closet the way I wanted it to open. Considering sending it back.

Strong rods easy to install. Really recommended for small closets to make more space. So far no issues when installed on wood on the sides, not sure how it would look just on the wall with no additional supports.
