Edge of Insanity: The Alliance Book 6

I purchased "Edge of Insanity" some time ago but decided to read the book last month. I have read all of "The Alliance" series and enjoyed each one of the stories. However, the story of Edge and Lina has to be my favorite in the series. Not only are there kickass women working like a well-oiled combat machine, but the Trivator Warriors are also becoming uber sexy. I will not provide information on the storyline just in case someone reading this review decided to purchase the book. I will say that the storyline held my attention then entire time I was reading. The one thing that caught my attention in the storyline is that there is an older woman (43 years old) written in as one of the characters. Finally!!! And she and Jag will be the next story in the series. I have not read too many SciFi Romance books with an older lead female character. I'm 55 years old, and I screamed with joy when I saw Gail in the storyline. Hopefully, there will be more older characters finding their Amates in The Alliance series. Overall, I truly enjoyed reading "Edge of Insanity," and I cannot wait for the next book.

I have waited for what seems like forever for this amazing book. The series has me in its grasp. Aliens... yes, but the author has it feeling so real and the characters, both human and alien are in such detail and the emotions are real and raw. Human females kidnapped and sold, but escape. They live underneath in the tunnels and have a plan to escape. They just need to brake out Edge, who is a prisoner, to fly the ship. This story is about Lina and Edge. A human and alien that need each other and refuse to give up. Must read the series, so awesome.

I totally enjoyed the storyline in this book. This book is a continued saga in this series. With that said it was different from the previous books in this series. You know only when characters appear from previous books. This was entertaining and suspenseful I couldn't put this book down until I finish. I have read nearly all of the this author's books I really like her writing. Recommend this book and series.

I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for a new Alliance book (ok, you can ignore the drama queen tendencies). This book was well worth the wait. I loved Lina and Edge and the rest of the kick-a$$ human women that had been stolen from Earth. Lina's history makes her hesitant to accept Edge, while he is an alpha male and oh so lovable when he's down (but not out). A fabulous plot/story-line, great writing and fabulous characters made this a 5 star plus read for me. Great job S.E. Smith!!

Lina and Edge...Trapped on a hostile alien planet, Lina and her female friends hatch a plan to steal a Trivator prisoner. They hope that he will be able to get them off the planet. Although he is badly wounded, the women, but especially Lina, work hard to help him recover. In the process, Lina begins to get to know the Edge who, as usual for Trivators, recognizes Lina as his Amate almost immediately. These kick-ass women and one determined Trivator must outwit and outfight the Waxman nation. Lots of action, plenty of romance, great characters and, of course, a satisfying HEA. I only wish that the wait for new books in this series was shorter.

As always S.E. Smith has delivered a wonderful story.So glad Edge was able to find his Amate in Lina, she was his match in every way.Action, suspense, some drama, laughter, hot sexy times and love.Loved catching up with previous characters and meeting the ladies that were with Lina.Those ladies are sure to give some warriors a run for their credits....*wink*Looking forward to the next in this awesome series.

This Is one of my favorite series and "Edge of Insanity" is a stellar addition to the series. I loved Lina from Earth. She is like all the other heroines in the Alliance series, a kick-ass, capable, smart lady. Edge is a super guy who has been physically and mentally tortured for 2 years and is close to breaking when Lina finds him and realizes how valuable he could be in her rescue plan. Lina and the other kidnaped humans want to go home to Earth and they need a pilot to fly the spaceship they found. I love how the Trivator warriors in this series treat their Amate. Linda

This has been a wonderful series to read. Finally finished the last book but hope the author continues with this series. Want to hear more of how the alliance continues and the character within progress. This series let you know about new character you have read in previous books and yet its a continuation the story line and events. Lots of actions that keeps you wanting to read. Like how the author put the Alliance series together. Hope to see more in the series.

When I first began reading SE Smith I was enthralled with all her series. Since she must have made a good living with her writing she seems to have begun to take advantage of her readers in a very cynical way. This book finished around the 75% mark and the remaining 25% was taken up with touting her previous books. Question: Do I feel short changed ?

This is a great series. I'm playing catch up as I have had this on my TBR list for a while having read all the others previously. It didn't take long to get into remembering the characters from the previous books. This one was just as good a read. Edge a Trivator warrior has been missing for two years, presumed dead. After being bought from the mines he is now locked up in a Waxian jail being tortured for information about the Trivator military and weapons systems. Also hiding away on the Waxian spaceport are 6 female humans who were abducted from Earth. Lina takes the lead role and after finding the Trivator warrior in a cell she sees him as the way to get home. They have a ship which was left in the closed down part of the spaceport and her plan is to free him and get him to pilot the ship to take them back to Earth. So they break him out of his cell but as with all good ideas they often do not go as planned. The drugs that the Waxians have been giving Edge to get him to talk has left him very ill. but they eventually make it off the space station but there is more danger lying in wait for them. In the meantime his friends from Rathon are out looking for the missing Earth females not realising that Edge is with them. This is a great adventure with some will they won't they get away moments. Of course the sparks fly between Edge and Lina but it is not a straight forward journey to get to their HEA. Looking forward to Jag's story.

This was a really enjoyable addition to this brilliant series.There is no need for me to rehash the story, kindle and other reviewers have already done that.The reason I gave this four and not five stars is because of the time delay between books. It's so hard to pick up the storyline when the last book was a year ago. I had to go back and reread bis of the previous books to remembet who was who and how everyone was connected.That said it was an extremel enjoyable read

Great following book to the series. Edge presumed dead after the crash that he and Dagger were involved in is found in the cells by Lina, one of the human women that were kidnapped from earth. Edge has been missing for two years and has been tortured by the Waxians looking for information.Great story and as always characters are fab.

OH - how disappointing -- very good story but 25% of book is taken up with previews/chaptersof other books by the author .When I buy a book I expected 99% to be the story I am paying for NOT books already read .
