Haidms 24 Pack Matte Black Door Hinges No Squeak 3.5 Inch Interior Door Hinges Rounded with 5/8" Radius Corner Removable Pin

I bought a set to match some new door knobs I installed and was so impressed how much quieter they were than my old hinges that I came back and ordered in bulk for the whole house. It comes with 1 inch screws which is a plus (compared to cheaper 3/4" some hinges come with) but I needed to order a set of 1 1/2 inch screws to help deal with a few holes that have become stripped over the years.

After Schlage significantly cheapened their hinge quality (but kept their over the top price), I searched out a replacement comparing six different brands.Haidms overall was a very good hinge.WORKMANSHIP: Faltered a bit here. The edge was not always smooth as you moved around the hinge plate from top to around the corner down the edge around the corner to the bottom. The Haidms were actually the worse in this case of all the brands.QUALITY: 1" screws (3/4" knocks a star off in my reviews FYI). There was no play in the hinge action and they had a nice resistance to them. However, the lubricant made a slight noise. Perhaps this would fade on use but the other brands did not have this problem.FINISH: The Satin Nickel finish was very good but just not quite as high quality as the Sorgmach. I'd like to see the aged bronze finish but my first TWO orders never arrived. From the pictures, the aged bronze looks like a good match for my Schlage handles and I would try a third time to order but the lubricate noise simply is a showstopper for me.Brands compared:Sorgmach (5 stars): overall the best of all the brands tried. Better in every way except for the hinge action which it came in a very close second. 1" screws.Amazon Basics (4 stars): great price, zero play in the hinge action, finish quality decent but the oil rub bronze was farthest off from my other hardware (note: the satin nickel ones never arrived), quality on the higher side but not as good as the Sorgmach both metal workmanship and finish Only 3/4" screws.Hosom (3 stars): not many specifics as this was the first brand to get rejected. Trailed others in finish and hinge action.Haidms (4 stars): aged bronze finish trailed others; satin nickel was better. 1" screws and zero hinge play. The corner to edge transitions were not smooth and the finish quality not as nice as the Sorgmach. In addition, while zero play the lubricant made a slight noise on operation. Perhaps this would quickly go away but the others did not make this noise.Everbilt (3 stars): this is the slightly more expense smoother operation one. Had no play in the hinge action but my one sample had some sort of steel burr or something that could be felt ...at least in the in-hand testing. I did not try on the door. Finish-wise, the Everbilt was similar to the Schlage though not as good of a match an inferior in quality to the Sorgmach. 1" screws. If it wasn't for that imperfection, I would have given this one 4 stars.Schlage 2021 Version (2 stars): oh how disappointing, though I did end up using this one in some cases because it was the aged bronze was the best finish match for the Schlage handles. While the prior Schlage version had a zero play hinge with a little friction, the new model had the MOST play out of all brands and no friction; a very sloppy hinge. In addition, every piece had some sort of defect or imperfection. Furthermore, the 2021 finish was noticeably of lower quality than the prior version. Also cheapened was the packaging; this I don't so much care about though. Many including myself buy Schlage for their reputation as a quality leader. This newer version is so much poorer than the prior I actually returned for an exchange thinking they had sent the wrong one. To add a black eye to the insult, Schlage has NOT change their prices which are more expensive than everyone else.

Replaced all door knobs to levers in oil rubbed bronze and these hinges matched perfectly.

Our house was a little too white so we wanted to add black accents. These hinges were easy to install and looks nice. I gave it 4 stars because it is t totally "noise free". I've had a few hinges make some squeaky noises but nothing a little WD40 won't cure.

Update: seller reached out, took responsibility and addressed the situation. Good seller experienceI would stick to the hardware store for these instead of thinking you’re saving money with this set. A half dozen out of the set were misaligned and bent, which I realized after i started installing others. Material grade and finish seems lacking in comparison to hardware store brand, which averaged a dollar more.

These work once you get then installed but they come packaged inconsistently. I bought some previously and it shows the same brand on Amazon. They are different and pretty noisy. The first batch was greased and ready to install but they are so tight that the door hinges pop when opening and closing the door. The second batch had to be greased by pulling the pin out that was not in all the way and putting them back together. If you don’t do this they are loud. The third batch had the pin installed all the way in and it’s very difficult to get out but you have to remove them to grease them or they are loud. They are fine but took way longer to finish the project than it should have.

They match all of my new knobs and locks so great

I needed this exact amount of hinges to finish the update to all the interior doors. I had already replaced door knobs with modern black knobs from Amazon. The hinges stood out as needing a change too.This was an easy and inexpensive fix. The interior doors look new after these changes and yet they are 40 years old.
