Original review - posted 2/22/20:Let me start by saying that I had purchased a different hair removal device from another brand a while back; but, after many treatments, I was just not seeing much in the way of results. I decided to do some research, and, after reading tons of reviews, comparing & contrasting different brands offering this technology, I determined that BoSidin was the company that not only provided the best results, but, was constantly working to improve their technology. They are working so diligently to put out better & better products that I was a bit confused at first which of the many models was the most recent, and the differences between them. I reached out to the seller, asking for more information about their products. I received a prompt, in-depth description of their three or four most recent models, highlighting the differences between them. I was then told that they were releasing their newest model in a few weeks, which would have different settings for each section of the body, customized to target the type of hair that grows in each area. It would also include the skin regeneration function. Considering I was in the market for the most advanced technology available to ensure the fastest, more thorough results, I was definitely interested. The seller offered to let me know as soon as it was released.About one week ago, I was informed, as promised, that the new model was on sale. I immediately checked it out on Amazon, and was first intrigued by how different it looked from all the other models. This was clearly a whole new generation of OPT technology, it certainly stood out amongst all other devices. As soon as I had the funds together, I placed the order, utilizing an $80 off coupon (nearly every model they offer has applicable coupons). It still seemed like a lot of money to spend, until I thought about how much time and money would be saved down the line if I could permanently rid myself of all my unwanted hair, needing touch ups only every few months or so. The bane of my existence is the endless, tedious grooming that eats up so much of my life. This was worth it, for sure.Well, it arrived today. I have to say, I am already impressed, and I have yet to even try it out. I am so excited I had to go ahead and share my experience with the Amazon world. The product is packaged carefully & securely, no skimping there. The quick start instructions are printed clearly on the left-hand flap right as you take off the box lid. At first I was a bit underwhelmed by the choice of color — deep green & rose gold — but, it certainly helps the device stand out from competitors. The box pictures it in white, which, I might have preferred esthetically; but, I am in this for the results, not what the device itself looks like. It feels sleek and sturdy in my hands, and the rotating head is really going to make a huge difference in terms of comfort and ease of use. No more contorting to reach those elusive spots! The dial that controls the energy level turns so smoothly, and the separate target areas are pictured distinctly below. I cannot wait to give it a whirl, and will update my review after I first try it, and as I progress with my treatments.Update - 3/4/20:I have now completed two treatments of my underarms, as well as a face & neck treatment. This device is incredible! I know it is too soon to expect a lot in the way of results; but, in terms of operation, it is an absolute dream! The revolving head makes it so easy to reach every spot at whatever angle needed to zap those follicles. It is super easy to switch modes and adjust the energy level; in fact, be careful to hold the device lower on the handle during use to ensure you don’t accidentally hit the mode button. The fact that you can keep the ice mode on during treatment really does allow for the most painless experience possible. Once you get used to the sensation, I find it almost soothing! There will occasionally be a particularly intense sting when it zaps a deep follicle with thicker hair, but, I consider it a good thing — finally working on getting it for good now! Who hasn’t suffered through tweezing or waxing, only to have the hairs grow right back? This is much less painful than those temporary solutions; and, as the hairs progressively thin and eventually fall out, the process itself will not only be less painful and take less time, the results will last longer & longer. The treatments don’t take nearly as long as they did with my old device with the nicely-sized window, which comes with an additional, smaller-windowed head for more precise targeting. Once each treatment is completed, you can immediately tell a difference in how smooth your skin feels.If you’re interested in getting rid of your unwanted body hair, and keep it from coming back, this device is the way to go, for sure! I am so happy to have finally found a real solution, and, I can’t wait until I can finally stop wasting so much time grooming, only to have to do it all over again in a matter of days!

I am a hairy woman. This is a very unfortunate fact of life and my hair removal routine is quite literally the bane of my existence. I’m not keen on shaving, waxing is too painful, so I’ve settled on Nair as my hair removal method of choice. I go through a big bottle of the Shower Power variant (as that is the only one strong enough to tackle my various jungles) a month. It is messy and not permanent nor able to be used everywhere (ahem, bikini area, take my advice and don’t try it), but quick and painless, so I make due.Over Christmas I decided to try out one of the handheld IPL laser devices (I used Lillie, but Kenzzi, lux skin, etc are all the same device). I used it on my face to test it for a few weeks and it proved to be ineffective. I am black with medium brown skin and dark hair, so while I don’t have the ideal contrast the device stated it would work for my skin tone and my hair follicles are actually quite prominent against my skin. Well, after 5-6 weeks of use I noticed no change in my facial hair and lost confidence in using the deuce elsewhere. It was also quite painful to use and I don’t have sensitive skin. I decided to look again for an at home device when I came across the Bosidin device.I’m not well versed on the different types of laser technologies, and there is quite a bit of discussion on whether or not this would work on darker skinned people. I decided to try it out as I am almost desperate to get rid of my forests. I have had it for a week now and these are my initial thoughts and impressions.Design - the device is well constructed and packaged very nicely, very Apple-esque. I decided to get the green version and it definitely stands out in my bathroom. The buttons are a lovely brushed brass and the whole thing feels solid, but is not heavy to use. The head is pretty big so it can’t maneuver into tight spaces all that well. The only thing I would change about the design is the placement of the firing button; it is way too easy to accidentally press it, thus turning off the auto-fire mode.The package includes lots of accessories including a Bosidin branded razor. I would have liked to see a dust bag for storage included instead of the razor, as it didn’t give me a close enough shave. I would hazard a guess and say that people who are into hair removal already have their preferred brand of razor, so to me it was a little unnecessary. I store the device in a dust bag from one of my purses.Usage - it is very easy to use. I’ve seen some bad mentions of the manual, the manual was fine to me. There were some grammatical errors but nothing that would prevent you from understanding it. I was ready to go in a few minutes.I started off on my face again, the first time I used setting 2, and after a few flashes went up to 3. I will say that the cooling feature of this device is AMAZING. The metal surface surrounding the laser is pretty big, so you feel more of the cooling effect than you do the heat of the laser. Because of this Bosidin definitely lives up to their claim that the device is painless.It is also very quick when using the auto flash feature, just move it along your skin and in a few minutes you’re done. I started to see regrowth after about 2 days which is normal for me, so the next time I did my face I went up to level 4, which was still painless.I tried out 2 other body areas to test and I have to say that I am impressed with the speed, ease of use, and pain-free operation. The only thing that remains to be seen of course is lasting results. I plan to continue to use this twice a week for 8 weeks, and will come back and update my review.

I've had laser hair removal treatments in the past. Comparing those to using this device, it feels similar, but not nearly as powerful, which I judge by the pain level associated with each zap. At a pro facility, there's always a strong smell of burnt popcorn after a session. This usually lets me know the hair has been fried, killed, and due to fall out later as little crispy black pieces. In a full year of using this device, that has never been the case. I've used in on my face, chest, stomach, and underarm areas, none of which have shown any improvement in hair removal from May of 2021 to May of 2022. Average use of 3 times per week on all areas after shaving. Highest setting. Appropriate device setting. If your facial hair can be coarse and removing it will be your primary goal, this isn't the way to go. I can see it possibly being affective on thin, almost dainty hairs. But I feel as if I spent 300 dollars to hit myself with ineffective light. The build quality is premium, though. It looks great. Everything about the design screams "this is solid". I wanted to love the device, but a year in I look the same as I did a year ago. That's... not great.

*UPDATE* Unfortunately, I returned the Biosidin Jun 2, 2021 for a full refund. I didn't want to get stuck with an expensive product. I did not see any difference during the month that I tried it or so I thought! I didn't notice because I still had hair growth and it looked the same. The hair didn't come out, easily when pulled. And, I was shaving every 3 days for each treatment so I couldn't see the hair growth lessen. Let me tell you, I never shave THAT often.So, here's what I did. I followed the instructions. The instructions indicate the Biosidin can be used every 3 days, so, I was using it every 3 days. I started out with a low setting for the 1st treatment. Once I determined I could use the max setting, I did! I used the under arms and the bikini settings on the coarse hair on my chin and my stomach from the belly button down. I don't recommend anyone doing this unless you are sure it won't damage your skin! Well, it's been 2 weeks since I return the Biosidin and, I noticed the hair growth on my legs is significantly less. There are hairless patches all over my legs! And, my chin hairs are less. I thought I wasn't seeing it correctly but less hair on my chin. They're still some coarse ones but so much less. I'm going to go and repurchase the Biosidin!I'm only giving it 4 stars because the US website doesn't work for registering the product for the 180 day warranty. And, because the instructions could be better, more detailed.Original ReviewI am so disappointed. I really wanted the Biosidin to work. I've been using it for 3 weeks (every 3 days) and see/feel no difference. I'm a Hispanic woman with very thick hair. I have tried it on my whole face (main target area chin), legs, under arms and bikini line. No results, nothing at all, not even hair thinning. I followed the directions in the user's manuel. So, so disappointed!I even tried registering it for the 180 day warranty with no luck. Their website isn't up to par!

I love this thing. I've had it for 2 months and used it weekly for the first 5 weeks. Since then, I've reduced the frequency to every 2-3 weeks. It takes me about 1.5 hrs to do my full body: face, under arm, arms and knuckles, bikini area, full legs. I am a very hairy, pale white woman (mid thirties) and have always been self conscious about my body hair. I also have fibromyalgia which makes it difficult to shave often, so I bought this as a Valentine's gift to myself 😂 My goal is to prepare for summer and not have to shave at all (or very rarely) and completely rid the hair from my hands, arms, and face.NO PAIN: This doesn't hurt me at all unless I have hairs that haven't been shaved closely enough (mostly in my bikini area). It is like other reviewers have described, a very small rubber band snap. I've used an epillator in the past which was torturous and left me with awful ingrown hairs. This leaves my skin nice and smooth.FACE: The dark hair on my chin and upper lip is almost completely gone. I have been getting dark, coarse chin hairs that have multiplied over the last decade to about 20-30 hairs that I would pluck constantly. They're GONE!!! My mustache is something that I've waxed and plucked for 20+ years (I even bleached when I was in middle school). It's pretty much gone with only a few spots near my nostrils which are hard to hit with the light, but I'll keep at it.LEGS: My leg hair is reduced by about 80% and what is left is much slower going. I should have continued with weekly applications for a full 8 weeks, but my fibromyalgia and busy mom/work life got in the way. I've been using it every 2 to 3 weeks since the initial 5 weekly sessions. I think if I get back on a weekly track I'll be able to tackle those more stubborn dark hairs. I have very coarse, thick, dense leg hair. The remaining hairs are much thinner and softer, so that I don't feel itchy or self conscious with my partner despite only shaving them once a week (he didn't care before about my leg hair, but I hated the way it felt if he touched them).HANDS, ARMS, AND PITS: It's significantly reduced my arm and knuckle hair, I am especially self conscious about my knuckle hair, previously shaving it several times a week. Now it's about 50% gone and much finer/lighter. Still more than the typical woman IMO, so I'll keep at it. Currently I shave them abour once a week. My arm and underarm is 95% gone.BIKINI AREA: I did this area for the initial 5 week sessions, and haven't seen a huge reduction in growth. Moving forward, I'll focus more on my actual bikini LINE to prep for summer as this has always been a problem area and hitting the spots that need work on the rest of my body. It is very time consuming for my to shave everything and then do a full body session. Again, it takes me about 1.5hrs to do everything, and I'm tired by the end due to chronic fatigue. I'll see how the bikini area goes once I've reached the goals for all of my other areas.Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this product, I just wish I had bought it sooner! It's so easy to use and maneuver. Do yourself a favor and buy it!
