Good hand pump for me
I need this to drain last bit of gunk out of my fountain. Been using a cheap battery powered pump that breaks with the slightest debris. This pump works great

Great product and value
Easy, fast and efficient to pump rain water out of sprinkler solenoid sump and sprinkler cutoff valve sump. Why didn't I think of this before? Would have eliminated years of kneeling over the pits and bailing with a big cup. It turned a10-12-minute job into one minute of effort.

Works very well, but was larger than expected.
Works great but is much larger than expected. I know it says 36" (ie three feet) but still seems larger. I haven't measured it but i expect the 36" doesn't include the top and handle. Perhaps it does, but it feels quite long, and is much longer than the ones you're see at your local outdoor store, which average 24" or 30" in length. Is able to expel a lot of water in one pump, and makes quick work of a 5 gallon pail of water. Quite handy if you have the space for something this large. If you don't, you may want to opt for one of the smaller models made by the same people.

Awesome Hand Bilge Pump - Many Uses
I originally got this to get remaining water out of the swimming pool that doesn't drain fully. We also have a small pool that fills with water after heavy rain and I can quickly empty it without tipping it over anymore. This hand pump really moves a great volume of water quickly. Just drop the end in the water and within a few strokes it's fully primed and moving some serious water for a hand pump. I have found so many other uses since I bought it. I have a 50+ gallon fish tank and it is much easier to do partial or complete water changes with the help of the Seasense pump. I have tried syphoning, the fancy "vacuum" hoses, and scooping but the hand pump is the fastest and easiest way to move the water.+ Easy Strokes+ Self Priming+ Easily disassembles to remove any debris+ Pumps water surprisingly fast with each stroke and continues to flow via gravity if the discharge hose is lower+ Long discharge hose (24" X 72" Model)+ Does not leak unless pulling too hard on the upstrokes, it will dribble from the top- The discharge hose is very stiff and it's hard to get it to stay where I need the water to go sometimes since there are bends in it that I have not been able to straighten._Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this to a friend looking for a hand pump that is capable of functioning in a variety of applications. The size and shape allows it to be used for many different things. I really wish the hose was not so rigid, it actually annoys me quite a bit when the hose pops up and water flows onto the floor or wherever else I do not want it. It is an inconvienence but not a deal breaker. I'm glad I bought it and you can't go wrong for the price.
