Beautiful book
Most comprehensive study of her work. Reproduction quality is good.Only criticism- too much essay - the space would have been better filled with more illustrations.

A book that is a work of art in itself
Has there ever been a more lavish book devoted to an artist than Agnes Martin: Paintings, Writings, Remembrances? As well as terrific reproductions of Martin's paintings and drawings readers also gain a unique insight into the artistic process with the inclusion of handwritten notes, lists and letters. This is a treasure trove for any fan of Martin but should impress all art lovers.

Agnes Martin book
This is a brillant book with beautifully illustrated images of Martin's work. There is no 'art jargon' in it . Just simple well written information on artist recorded by her friend Arne Glimcher and Agnes's own handwritten words are included. You really feel you know the artist after reading this book.

A magnificent tribute to her work and a superb resource.
My introduction to the deeply inspirational art of Agnes Martin came during a visit to her exhibition at the Tate Modern in 2015 and I had wanted a book like this at that time, it is a superb resource with stunning reproductions of her work, a must have and one I will treasure. Agnes Martin was of the belief that spiritual inspiration and not intellect created great work. She once wrote that 'without awareness of beauty, innocence and happiness one cannot make works of art’, and this is always reflected in her work. She preferred to consider herself as an abstract expressionist.
