Glass Lily Pipe Spin Outflow and Inflow 13mm for 12/16mm (1/2") Tube - Aquarium Planted Tank Aquascaping JARDLI

This is day one with this set, so it's a bit too early to comment on many of the features. I have these hooked up to a canister filter on my 3.5-gallon aquascape. These glass pipes completely disappear once they are in the tank (except for when they catch the light). The lily spin pipe is the perfect solution for using a strong pump on a small tank since it doesn't disturb the plants or substrate. The suction cups that come with this set are some of the best I've used in the aquarium hobby (which is saying a lot). I definitely plan to slowly update all of my tanks to these glass pipes. The bonus with using glass is that it can be much more easily sterilized than plastics which are basically disposable.I had no problems with the item's packaging, they came wrapped in a thick foam inside a sturdy box which was placed in an additional box by Amazon, so there were three layers of protection overall.One of my only problems is more with the advertisement of this item on Amazon. It says in the item description that this fits the Eheim 2211 (150 GPH, rated up to 40 gallons), which is true... kinda. This tube definitely works with the 12/16 mm (ID/OD) tubing for the intake line, but not for the inflow line which is 9/12 mm. This can all be a bit confusing when you are setting up a tank and buying items online, even for someone of moderate aquarium experience. This is probably the best set for the Eheim 2211 canister filter, but make sure that you buy additional tubing (which I recommend anyway since the Eheim tubing is green).

It came packaged neatly and without any issues.Initially, I just placed it on my rimless tank without using the suction cups and it looked great. However because of my tank tubes the inflow and outflow pipes didn't sit straight in my tank, so I tried to use these suction cups that came with it. I managed to use one suction cup on the outflow tube successfully however I noticed that using suction cups with the inflow pipe is going to be tight. But I thought to myself that it is probably expected to be tight since it came with 2 suction cups. So I managed to get the suction cups working with inflow pipe but it was super tight, so in order to avoid waking up to broken glass and water everywhere I tried to remove it but I ended up breaking the inflow pipe because it was super tight on day one.So moral of the story is to not use the suction cups if you like to avoid the mess. Also, I wished they designed these a bit better so it would fit its own suction cups.

The lily pipe that came with my Dennerle Scapers Flow provided way too much current for my white cloud mountain minnows. They weren't exhibiting schooling behavior and seemed like they could never relax, always struggling to stay in place. I just installed this spin pipe and their behavior is so much more natural and calm, schooling around the tank and doing their mating dance. My amano and cherry shrimp are also coming out more. It is also easy to raise the spin pipe slightly above the water line for oxygen at night and makes a very pretty sputtering sound. Imo this is the perfect outflow type for canister filters.

UPDATE: it’s been roughly 2 months now and I have to say I’m pleased for the most part. The one gripe I have is the outflow. Mine is not made straight so the flow is unbalanced. Otherwise I recommend this product for people who are looking for cheap lily pipes.I have not used the product yet so I can’t comment on it’s performance but I can talk about the appearance. The pipes arrived in a nice little package with some black foam paddings for protection. It comes with four suction cups but it’s not necessary to use them. For the price I would say you are getting what you pay for. They are very cheap and are meant for nano aquariums. Build quality is good. The glass seem sturdy and not thin at all. I will update this review once my aquarium gets set up with everything for my thoughts on performance.

These look nice and are well packaged. However, I have a Dennerle Scaper's rimless tank and while trying to install the intake with the provided suction cup mount caused it to break. Holding the return up against a suction cup mount reveals that the mount sticks out almost 1/8" further than the glass allows. I was able to use a torch and melt the parts back together somewhat successfully, though there is a pinhole that is sucking air into the line, and the pipe is far from cosmetically whole.

Edit: Changing my review in light of awesome customer service from seller. I hadn't even contacted them directly and they already took care of me and have a replacement ordered. Very surprised and please with how quickly JARDLI acted.The spin works great and the pieces are beautiful. I got this because the spray bar that came with my Eheim was just too brutal for my small tank. It is a shrimp tank and the pressure from the spray bar was so strong the shrimp were holding onto the plants for dear life. I bought this after discussing the issue with some others. It has effectively tamed the force of the outflow of the Eheim without compromising the GPH. The water is still moving around the entire tank, as evidenced by my CO2 mist being gently blown around the whole tank. Adequate flow is still moving in the tank as my eleocharis and p. helferi are pearling happily away.The glass is so much more elegant compared to the hideous green Eheim intake and spray bar, and takes up much less tank space. Very pretty and discreet inflow/outflow.

I got these for my home made canister filter I made for my shrimp tank. Water flow is good both in and out making sure that the water is moved around on the surface for good o2 exchange.Feel solid and have already taken a bit of abuse during a water change by a friend. -.- but they survived him trying and did not break! :)

This thing is awesome. Stops the flow of the Eheim 150/2211 very well while looking so cool doing it. Works very well in a fluval edge 6gal. The fish love playing around it too. The only thing I can knock it for is that if you have floating plants, this things creates a small vortex or something around it and sucks the plants to it and into it.

I have a 6 gallon nano planted aquarium and I found this perfect match for my 12mm external filter inlet and outlet opening. Also looks very good and neat in the aquarium.

Looks amazing and working as intended but the inflow pipe came with a small hairline crack.
