Needs work but its ok. I'm personally very much against SCUBA spearfishing but the book isn't as bad as some.

Great resource, heading down in Sept

I've been hunting lobsters and fish in Florida for years, but nothing has helped me improved my game more than Chiefy's books. They are authoritative, and whether you're a beginner or advanced, everyone can learn something from them. If you live in Florida or plan to come here to try your luck, get one of these books. They contain great pictures, and even better descriptions and "how-to's".

The book is more for rank beginners, pretty good information for the novice but no skilled hunter should find anything new here. My big complaint is that the author AND the editor (were there one) could really benefit from a course in English writing. To anyone skilled in the writing arts, reading this book is akin to the raking of fingernails on a blackboard.

Being an avid spear fisherman, and always looking to improve my odds of coming home with dinner, I found this book both entertaining and informative.A combination of stories and information that come together to provide the insights necessary to come home with prize! A fish dinner that is. I would recommend this read to the novice and experienced as well.
