Works great with the GE Concord 4 alarm system
Works great with the GE Concord 4 alarm system. Find install/program instructions for your particular system on Google. Master program is usually 4321. Installer (ADT) changed mine to 6321. So key sequence is 8-6321-0-0. Under "sensor" menu, select "sensor learn" and with "trip sensor" is displayed (remember which sensor number is assigned ie: S6), press and hold on and off buttons on keyfob. The alarm system will beep. Then you have to go back to "sensors, edit" scroll through sensors until you find your new entry, choose "partition 1" and "group 1". Very important you choose group 1. Group 0 is "supervised" and is polled every 64 minutes, you will get a sensor error code because keyfobs do not respond back to a system poll. Group 1 is unsupervised, therefore, group 1 does not poll and expect a response back from the keyfob or any other device assigned to that group. Again, this works with the GE Concord 4 system and probably will be very similar with other systems. If your installer changed your installer code (I understand most of them do) try: 4321 or 6321 or 1676 or 1626 or 9317. My searching the Internet came up with these codes, suggest you make sure you can enter programming mode BEFORE you buy a keyfob. This one works great and very good price. Also works: 600-1021-95R, 600-1022-95R and the 600-1040. Hope this helps

Better than the older version
Had an older version of this fob break where it connects to the key ring. Wasn't in the best either as the symbols had worn off of the buttons long ago. Concerned the symbols will rub off on this one too. This fob is a replacement, and seems to work better than the original. The button operation is more precise and seems to work well. The $23 price with shipping and tax included sure beat the $99 price asked for by the monitoring company for a replacement. Was expecting possible resistance by the monitoring company as far as helping me sync this my system (Simon XT). They were willing and I was able to program correctly...almost. Unfortunately, I started getting warnings that the fob was "offline" every 12 hours. By pushing the disarm button in the alarm, the fob would then go back online. No one at the monitoring company (talked to 3 different people) had ever heard of this problem, and I was close to having to call for a costly service call. Called a 4th time and got somebody who knew exactly what the problem was. Turns out that the programming steps I got weren't exactly right. The fob was put into a "sensor" group and the base unit was expecting to get a ping was the fob. It was put into the correct non-sensor group, and all seems know.

Looks OEM for Simon XT
I just swapped out the guts of my old fob into the new shell. The older Simon XT panel is a hassle to program in anything new. This is an exact unit as the one I received from my alarm company. Not a cheap knockoff.

Fell apart after less than one month
I don't know how, but one day I came home and when I looked at the fob, it was open and empty.

company needs to think of a way to give instructions
Works well. Therefore, it receives 3 stars. But I had to remove 2 stars because there is no manual or instructions on how to setup the FOB to your security system. So I had to search the internet on instructions to do that. Luckily, I found some. But if somebody else had a different system maybe they couldn't. I understand that there are many different security systems out there. Therefore, it would be difficult to put a lot of instructions in the box. Why not at least have a link to a website (setup by the company or youtube videos) where you could find instructions on setting up this FOB for at least the top 10 most popular systems?

Great Buy!
Works incredibly well. I have a GE Simon XT security system, The alarm company was selling their keychains for the system for about $50. I found this and it works just like the original key chain. Plus, I saved myself a good bit of money. This remote programs just like the remote that came with the system. One word of caution: make sure to put your alarm in TEST mode, or call the company to put it in test mode. I didn't and the police showed up at my door!
