Works but not accurate reading
Works heating the tank great but doesn't read accurately. Tank is 3 degrees off the read out.

Doesn't last long
It's cheap but so far I have two in the last two years and the one I have now has just quit. Each one lasted a year, and both came broken and had to have replacement units.

Overall good heater and very cheap: UPDATE
It's a pretty good heater at very good price. The box it came in looked like it fell off a cliff. But the heater itself looked new and undamaged. Initially I was not liking it and thought I was sending it right back. The temp was WAY off for first few hours. Was reading 85 on heater when was actually only 76. I think the outer case traps heated water and Initially gives inaccurate reading like other reviews said. But slowly it started to even out. It would kick on and only run for a min or less and quickly read 85. And if you have problems with very diff temp like other reviews, try to give it time to even out and it works great. And it IS the best price for 300w heater 9n amazon!Update: After a month of use I have to say I really like this heater. I like the temp display and easy adjustment. I did remove the outer case, it easy pulls apart. The case just heats up too quick and shuts heater off. Since removing it the heater has ran much better and more accurate reading

When we first got this heater it was amazing and worked exactly how we wanted. 3 months later it is no longer heating our tank. Should have gone with the hugger brand to begin with.

Bigger than I thought
Idk how they are selling this so cheap. It marks it up pretty quick. So monitor your first warmth if you have fish . I have plants only . But this is so so worth it . I have a 15 gallon tank . I had no clue how big and bad sss it was . I recommend this to people with 20 gallon plus.
