They work!!!
I made a big hole in the bathroom trying to put in towel rail. Obviously only on one end and obviously once I’d drilled the perfect hole on the first one. I was thinking how much it would annoy me living with a hole and just start again putting towel rail somewhere else? I did try to fill the hole and that’s when I discovered everything was falling through it.I was on the point of accepting the new holes as part of the bathroom look, when I came across these. Wow, they restored my vision of a holeless bathroom wall, I now have a very secure towel rail that holes my neatly displayed towels, as well as all the damp towels the kids (adults btw) stuff on it like they’re trying to win a record for most amount of towels in one place. Makes a difference for the floor rail they used before

Easy to use
It is easier to use than some of the similar fixing I bought before, it looks sturdy on the wall and it holds a heavy glass painting very well.

Brilliant/used all over
This photo shows themBeing used for my wall mounted lights. Because they have pull lights I wanted to ensure the screws would be secure for the lights. I used these all over the house though, for mirrors and shelves. (And other sizes for TVs!)

seem very strong
These appear to be very strong and have held up so far. There isn't a way of knowing if the wings have opened behind the wall. that is a little disconcerting though I did pull the screw and it didn't come out of the hole. Other reviews have said their shelves have fallen out, I suggest that they didn't pull on the screw before attaching the shelves. You do need to drill a large hole, but these can be reused and filling a hole isn't he worst job in the world. A little ingenuity and filler will do the job. Id recommend these tbh. Just remember to pull on the screw as a safety exercise.

Innovative and seem strong
I used these to mount a shelf onto a plasterboard wall. Had previously tried plastic wall plugs that expand behind the plasterboard and they failed not long into use. I'll come back and update this review if these also fail. They fitted cleanly and tightened up nicely to I'm hopeful of a positive result. One thing to be aware of is whether you have the right size drill bit. I have quite a large drill bit selection but of course these red ones require an 18mm bit and my set only included 16mm and 19mm. Not the end of the world as with plasterboard its easy to open the hole a little but just something to be aware of.

Excellent as replacement fittings
In this case I needed to replace some older cavity wall shelf fixings that had worked loose. It takes a steady and pretty confident hand to widen an existing hole with the large hole boring bit for these fixings, and I had visions of having to do a whole saw-out, replace and redecorate on the plasterboard.Fortunately, I pushed the old fixings in and down into the cavity, and then drilled reasonable (wider) holes for these fixings.I was concerned when I ordered them about the depth, but they are two part (inner sleeve pulls up inside the outer barrel as the central fixing screw is tightened). Two metal wings anchor behind the plasterboard.A clever design, and one that has allowed me to remount a hanging shelf using the original holes - highly recommended. If you are starting from scratch with a new mounting, I would expect these to prove an excellent choice.

Saved me from making even bigger holes in the wall!
It's English, so it's sized in millimeters. How they get 18 of those hairy legged bugs to be still to measure off of, or why they use bugs over there instead of a ruler is beyond me.Anyway, I screwed a molly into the drywall and it went in perfect. I screwed the second molly into the drywall and it cored straight through and left a hole about the size of a nickel. I needed to use that hole and couldn't move the picture.Only choice was to cut a bigger hole, and patch it with a big piece of drywall. Which means more work and days of waiting for paint and spackle and paint to dry... And then I found these little Godsends.Easy to install, worked like a charm, hold fast, and strong! Really saved me a lot of extra work. Thanks mates!

Yup, they are as good as advertised.
These things really work. I can’t say how much stronger they are than the usual fixings, but they feel much firmer than other devices I’ve used. I used a Forster bit of exactly the recommended size (18mm) and it all worked perfectly.
