I put these on my porch railing and made sure that the solar panel was in the best position to collect the largest amount of light. I use one of the flashing settings and the lights are still on when I leave for work in the morning, as of the daylight cycle right now that's 12 hours of use. They aren't quite as bright as a plug-in set, but they are still a pleasure to look at. If I have any issues I will update my review but as of now we love these lights.

The colors are not as pictured. They are regular blue, red, yellow/orange and green. After it rained, they went to blinking mode for some reason. I haven't tried to change it back yet, I hope it will go back to normal.Well, I switch it back to "stay on" mode, and it does it for that night. The next night they are blinking again. Apparently the rain had nothing to do with it. It's just what they do. So annoying. I'm thinking about returning.I am returning them. The only mode that will work is the blinking. When I press on the button to change the mode, the lights do not light up, until it gets to blinking mode.

Rather disappointed. I bought for my mom, had sent to her house knowing I was going to visit. When I got there, I put them up on her entry way. She lives in the phoenix area. So in plenty of sun every day. Perfect location. They worked for three nights. Subtle. Lovely colors. Very happy with them. Then that was it. Never have come on again. I have tried everything. And without paying attention to dates, I got on to return two days after return window closed. Ugh. So now, I am stuck with them. So no, I cannot recommend them.

Amazing lights! The plastic "bulbs" are clear, but put out a blaze of color when turned on, and the control allows you to adjust the pattern. I used a couple of strings on some bushes. The solar collector worked well (no batteries involved) - I put them out in the afternoon on a semi-cloudy day, and they worked great that night. I turned them off around 10pm each night. For the price they worked well, were easy to set up, and performed as expected. Strings are fairly short, and strings cannot be connected - each string has its own solar collector. Not a problem for low or near-ground lights.

Lovely! They charged up well each day and lasted the entire night until the sky became bright enough for them to turn off. Never had any issue with them "fading out" or not lasting the entire night. The lights themselves were actually so bright that we started off with them inside the tent, but decided they were too bright for us to get to sleep, and ended up moving them outside. Outside, they're soft and subtle, but noticeable. The balls are solid and have a good weight to them, but aren't heavy by any means. They definitely don't feel cheap, and this was a great price for something so cute!

Initially, I loved these string lights. They have different modes for flashing or solid colors. The solar panel works great and they stay on a long time. However, both strings I have bought have become very cloudy over time. I bought these just last year and they have had minimal use. They are strung around a tree and stay covered most of the time. Very disappointing - these don't seem to be made well enough to last.

These are great!! Cute little balls (about the size of a large marble)A lot longer than I excepted and plenty of cord after the balls stop.(Purchased some in the past that were very short in length, but not these).It's been very cloudy lately, but they are still shining bright every night.Must not take much light to recharge them as they seem to stay on all night.

I really like the lights. They are nice and bright and last for about 9 hours. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the mode changes to a different setting everyday. It doesn't stay on the prior mode setting that I had it on. There is no memory on either of the strings that I bought so I have to go and readjust them to the setting that I want every night. Which isn't going to happen.
