Adorable Book with Important Message
We read this book as a family. My daughter is age 9 and really enjoys books where you can pick and choose things, similar to the "You Choose by Pippa Goodhart" Style of book. This book is about a mom who is tired of eating browny biegey foods and wants some colour in her life, so sets her kids a task of picking three items of foods from each colour for each day and then asks the reader which three foods they would pick. After it tells you what the children picked and what they made and asks the reader what they would make with their three foods. This is a fun way for kids to get interested in picking a more colourful foods, and hopefully to enjoy a more healthful diet. In the back of the book it gives tips on how to read the book with your children and how to implement it in real life.It was a fun read and we really enjoyed it. It made my daughter want to have a go at picking out three things the way the children did and encouraged her to look for some more colourful things at the store the next time we went.

2.5y old likes it
Only got it yesterday and been made to read it about 10x already so seems to be a hit! A bit long for us but otherwise a nice book. I'd like it in a shorter more interactive style for younger readers. Maybe the option to put food in the shopping basket somehow? My son wants to do that and is a bit put out by the page with no basket on. Or I'd like it to be more of a wipe clean workbook style so I can remember which foods he chose.. easy the forget! A nice book but I'd like to see it in some different formats too.

Great for promoting discussion without pressure.
Such a great little book to engage discussions on food without the pressure to EAT! Both my children (5 and 9) loved reading the book with me and talking about what we would pick. I need to take them to the supermarket this week with me and they are already planning what colour food they are going to pick. I’ve even caught my eldest reading the book by herself and looking at the pictures of different options. A great tool to discuss new and different foods without the pressure. Fantastic value for money too!

Great for food discussions
My 3 year old loves this. We've read it multiple times per day. It's really opened up conversations about food and showing her that it is fun to try new foods. I'm hoping it helps encourage her try new foods and we're looking forward to picking a colour next time we do to the supermarket!

Fantastic book!
This book is fantastic! My 5 year old is a fussy eater and she absolutely loves this book. After reading it just once, she asked if we could shop for the ‘rainbow’ colours of food the next time we go to the supermarket. I’m delighted! I think repeated readings of this book will actually go a long way towards opening my little fussy eater’s mind towards exploring new foods. So glad I bought this book!
