Fabulous
So first off this was Fabulous. It starts right off with a bang, love when a book does that well worth the numb behind from not wanting to get up once started. Cess gets no more sleep because of noise from new neighbors moving in. 4 men and a bossy one giving orders and are they fine. I'll take them as neighbors they ever get bored in that neighborhood. She has goals so to get that gift the parents have promised. She also has a twin brother who is her best friend and of course girl friends just not a boyfriend. Not after the last bad relationship. Not in the goals not even. Hope her pencil has a eraser on it. So meeting the new neighbors seems to be going that is until bossy brother Draken is rude and snappy and orders her to get. Even though attracted no time for foolishness business is the reason for this move and business it needs to be. But there is one thing different from the rest of the neighbors, they are all dragons, each a representation of their dragon with gorgeous tattoos and their eyes ooh laaa la, and they are hot. Draken is also the prince and that comes with its own responsibilities. So now that I am thoroughly reeled in and enjoying the ride could not be happier. Insightful ways of life and other things concerning these dragons and the events that unfold in this story are wonderfully done and appealing. Personalities are stellar suffice to say Draken and Cess do get together and date and intense and hot is just mild way of saying about this relationship. Also funny how Draken keeps denying his feelings at first and guess who wins-love.Just one tiny teeny problem though-human she is greatly frowned upon and on tip of that marriage to another betrothed and have to be told not gonna happen. Part of the awesomeness of this is the weaving of the tale and right enlightenment at the right times. Her goals have changed direction by now and saving Draken is one of the goals that leads to marriage. With both their fierce personalities was the icing on the cake for this hot can you handle it story.

Terrible writing and boring sex
I can forgive a lot in a novel if it hits the mark in the area where it counts. We know this is a otherworldly, sexual work of erotica. If the sex and the chemistry between the characters was good, I'd overlook most of the other flaws. You know how you can skim through a book to get to the good stuff? Trust me -- there is no good stuff. The sex is unimaginative and lackluster. I gave it two sex scenes before I gave up completely on this novel that seemed to be ripped from the margins of a high-school notebook, complete with valley-girl phrasing. All that's missing are the emoticons.I'm going to give you a (redacted) sample so you don't waste your time on this drivel:"I remove her top and bottom, laying her down. Her [body parts] are perfect for my hand. Her [body parts] are a [color]; I must taste them. I squeeze, and she gives me the answer I want."No passion, no energy, no lust. It sounds like the directions to microwave a frozen dinner. It might as well have been, "I remove the cellophane cover, placing the dish in the microwave. The tray fits perfectly in the appliance. The vegetables are a deep green; I must taste them. I take a bite, the food gives me the taste I want."It's basically "See Spot Run," but with dragons. "See Spot Run" might be more gripping, actually. This book is riddled with grammar and punctuation errors more typical of a high-schooler than a published novelist. Oh wait.. it's self-published. That explains a lot. I lost count of the number of comma splices. The author clearly doesn't understand the difference between independent and dependent clauses, subject-verb agreement, or when to spell something out instead of abbreviate it. I found a mistake in almost every paragraph. Tripping through this uninspiring collection of flaws was unthinkable, since there was no reward of passionate sex or intriguing world-building waiting for me as a reward. I would suggest the author hire an editor, but it may be best to give up on the writing idea and focus on another career. The sentence structure is monotonous. This happened. Then this happened. She did this thing there. Then that thing happened over there. The same words and phrases are repeated ad nauseum. "Beautiful." "Scent."There's also some really weird morality going on around profanity, virginity, consent, autonomy, and the idea of being tempted. The profanity is used like a third-grader might, not comfortably, but in the awkward sense of trying to push boundaries. I would bet money the author is in some kind of some kind of conservative religious group and that kind of worldview defines the novel.I can't imagine anyone enjoying this, but I could see myself recommending it to you if you happened to be lobotomized. I'm sorry, both for the lobotomy, and for foisting this children's book on you.

ok
It was good. A bit juvenile; I can see why it was free. A lot of characters, could have benefited being individualized more.

Poorly put together
Rating 2.5 starsThis is a fairly good story but it does read as a bit muddled and confusing at times, for example, at one point it explains that Draken sees an unfamiliar dragon appear beside Cess as she's sleeping, the next line is his brother telling him not to worry that they will get Cess back ? But it never mentions her being taken ! Unfortunately, inconsistencies like this are throughout the book, as well as words missing and sentences that come across as robotic and incomplete. It also makes constant unnecessary reference to Cess needing to pee whenever she gets scared. In general there's too much repetition and its poorly put together. Drakens arrogance doesn't make him endearing and I couldn't find anything acceptable about the whole 'giver' concept !A good editor to make this book flow better would make it a much better read.

amazing
I LOVE SUPERNATURAL BOOKS AND THIS WAS MY FIRST DRAGON SHIFTER BOOK. HER DRAGONS WERE EVERYTHING AND MORE THAT I IMAGINGED THEM TO BE BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL BUT FIERCE AND MAJESTIC. LOVED THE FACT YOU USED MY FAVE COLOUR FOR DRAKEN. :) THIS BOOK HAD ME SURPRISED AS YOUR FIRST OPINION OF DRAKEN IS HE IS AN AROGANT ARSE BUT ONCE YOU GET INTO THE BOOK YOU REALISE HE IS A FIERCE LEADER AND PASSIONATE IN WHAT HE BELIEVES IN. ONLY REAL DOWNER WAS HOW QUICKLY CESS AND DRAKEN GOT TOGETHER AFTER THERE FIRST ENCOUNTER. BUT OVERALL A GREAT BOOK CANT WAIT TO READ MORE FROM THE DRAGLEN BROTHER.
