Glass appears a bit thin and perhaps not as durable in the long run. Holding up so far. Functional w/nice appearance .

I was washing the container and as I was washing it it just snapped and broke. I was not applying much pressure so I am disappointed in the quality.I wanted to add that I was contacted by seller and they offered to replace or refund. I took the replacement. This was prompt and professional. The very next day the replacement arrived. This is a good company and very pleased.This is am amended post. This company replaced the product promptly and it has been a very good product and I am very pleased with my purchase

I bought to use to make my own sourdough starter. This works well - my complaints are how thin of glass it's made of because it makes me nervous that I might one day break it when I'm holding it to stir in the flour and water. The other complaint is the spatula is too short for the container. I bought a longer red spatula that works much better. I wanted a large enough container to hold more sourdough starter because I like to use 2 cup starter recipes and this works well for holding what I need. The container being tall as opposed to shorter is also a convenience for saving space. The stick on thermometer is pretty much useless.

The shape of this container is somewhat unique, rounded corners - square shape. I really find it attractive.It is easy to clean and the included spatula is perfect. I have used a Mason jar, two different crock brands and this container is the hands down winner in my eyes. Glad I purchased it.

This is so perfect for my sourdough starters. As you can see there is PLENTY of room for expansion. I love that it comes with a temp sticker. The wood lid fits securely yet let’s my starter “burp” if needed. I am ordering more for myself and for gifts!

I'm giving this a 3 star because it works so long as you are incredibly gentle. This thing is way thinner than I expected or desired. It is a matter of time till it breaks, but so far for the last three weeks it's done what it should. I would definitely recommend something a bit sturdier since your going to be handling it frequently, but if you like the aesthetics and are comfortable with watching how you handle it, it will be fine. I would not buy again personally.

Works just perfectly for my starter. Not to big and not to small. Really like the little spatula that comes with it and the temperature strip. Nice open mouth. Really happy with this.

Easy to clean. Love the temp sticker.
