These are an absolute must-have for any cook/chef, In particular THIS BRAND who wants to have beautiful pies. This brand offers the best value for your money and are enough to use for standard size pies. And the crisp white sturday plastic container is very useful and easy to store the weights in. An all-around perfect addition to your culinary collection. I cant believe I went years without buying Pie Weights! But now I am very serious about making perfect pies(that people rave about) and I'm so glad I chose these.

I love the look and quality of these pie weights and the container. I was looking for something to replace my bag of pennies (seemed kind of gross) or beans (after a few times they start to disintegrate). I decided to give these a try after viewing the video. I figured any company that took that much time to make a useful video and not just one full of sales “bling” likely made a good product as well. I have not been disappointed. The product arrived quickly and undamaged. The container is sturdy, compact and fits in my cabinet easily. It is attractive enough to set out on the counter if you like things sitting out. The air hole on the top allows them to vent so they don't get moldy. There is also a small instruction booklet that can be stored right in the container along with the weights. I made a quiche in a 9.5 x 2" fluted pan, and it prebaked beautifully. Caveat: These really are pretty little weights, and I would be cautious around little ones at the age of putting everything in their mouth since these could look tempting and be a choking hazard. Buy that goes for many things, and with care and attention, these can be safe.

I just received my pie weight baking beads that are ACTUALLY the size of beans as advertised. I guess I thought they were bigger. Before ordering these pie weights, I used actual uncooked beans over some parchment paper to prevent the pie crust from bubbling while cooking in the oven. They work pretty good too and once the beanscool, you can keep in a container for next time. But I wanted to get fancy so I ordered these and I've yet to try them. They look cute and all in their nice container but not sure they are worth $20. I am sure they probably will do the job but we'll see!

I have had these pie weights for a couple of years and used them many times. They work great. One container is enough for one pie. Blind baking a crust eliminates soggy, raw crust in pies like pumpkin with baked filling. They do have to be used with foil or parchment paper between the wights and the crust. Immediately after baking I use the parchment to carefully lift the weights out of the baked crust and allow the weights to cool before storing them in the container they came in. They have never needed cleaning because they are only in contact with the parchment liner. Easy to use and work as promised.

These pie weights are great. I am quite pleased with the way they uniformly weigh down the dough when I need to blind bake a crust. They are easy to use, clean and store.

I know the pictures don't show them in action but I made some pretty adorable tarts with using these to blind bake the crust first. They were awesome. This is not a reflection of the product but when the boyfriend went to go put his tart crusts in the oven (covered with the beans) the pan stuck and he dropped all of them in the oven and then beans got everywhere and it was funny. Oops. None of them broke though! So I guess that is a reflection of the product haha, they are sturdy enough to be dropped if you are clumsy like us. Have fun with them if you buy them! Oh and they come in an adorable storage container. To clean em I squirt soap in that with hot water and shake it up.

They work well, love the box to keep them in. They're perfect. Enough for one pie, I could use more.

These pie weights easily filled a 8-9" shell and held it down during blind baking. Before first use I rinsed them and found a couple split in two already. Every time I bake with them I do find at least one that breaks apart. Not sure if that's normal from the heat or not with ceramic but it is enough that 4 or 5 so far aren't missed. Nice container for storage afterwards.
