RIMSports Barbell Pad

This has just the right amount of padding. I bought a bulkier one from a different manufacturer that I’ve seen in YouTube videos and the bulkier one made placing the bar on my shoulders/traps awkward. This one comes with super strong Velcro to hold it in place. You can use it for squats, glute thrusts, anything that requires extra cushion with a barbell. And as I’ve said in another review, it’s yours and hasn’t been used by 10,000 sweaty people. Fits nicely in my gym bag, too (my gym bag is actually a nice diaper bag I bought on Amazon with lots of pockets and insulated “bottle” holders inside to keep my drinks cold).

I have used this bar pad and its a good all around production and a great quality for the price. . The outer material is easy to clean and does not absorb the sweet like some other pads that I have used. It also did not deform or overly compress when I was Squatting with 345 which really impressed me. The pad is thick enough to use for hip thrusts but it could be a little longer. Its a great option if you want an all around pad. It also has a carrying case so that all those supplements, chalk, and unnamed powders in you Gym bag don't get it dirty.

The only compliant I have about this product is the carry case is kind of use use this as it only holds the foam band and is really hard to slip out and in of the case..,but mostly there have been a few times the bar has slipped out of the hole even with the velcro secured. Easy fix and doesn't happen often, but still a small issue.

I love this barbell pad! Great for using doing back squats, hip thrusts, and weighted lunges.This pad has a Velcro flap that covers the slit where you slip it on the barbell, which works awesome and keeps it in place. Other pads I've used turn or partially come off the barbell while in the middle of a lift. This flap keeps that from happening. It also has a tiny loop on the end so I can secure it to the side of my gym bag! It seems like a little thing but it makes a huge difference to not have ANOTHER accessory floating around in there. Rimsports thinks of everything!

This pad is thicker than the average barbell pad so you can add weight without experiencing the crunch from a heavy barbell. It has allowed me to add weight when doing squat and also I am able to do good mornings without the neck pain. The construction seems heavy duty, with no loose stitching. The velcro strip is also very sturdy. It's not going to undo on you while performing the exercise. I would recommend this product.
