Find The Right Highlighting Option! In This Review!
There's not much more I can say about this Bible that hasn't been said already, so I wanted to leave some insight as to what highlighting device you should use, should you choose to highlight your Bible. I wanted to find something that would hold up to water since this is a water-proof bible, and also to handling, since it will get used! :D I tried a lot of different things, but not quite everything that's out there, so let my monetary loss be your gain! Here are my results:Least Permanent:Sakura Pigma Micron Pens - Probably the worst option. I could never get the ink to dry on the "paper".Mr. Pen Dry Highlighter (Gel) - A heavy-hitter in the Bible highlighting game, sadly this wipes off with light finger pressure, no water needed.Normal #2 HB Pencil - This smudged with light finger pressure, and washed away with water and medium finger pressure.Sharpie Accent Highlighter - Wiped clean off with light finger pressure.Semi-Permanent:Miles Kimball Yellow Bible Dry-Liter - I bought some specifically for this Bible, and was disappointed when they didn't hold up. They smudged pretty good with light finger pressure, but took hard rubbing and water to get off completely.Crayola Crayon - This works pretty well in a pinch. When dry, there is only slight smudging and lightening with medium finger pressure. After water and hard rubbing, the marks were still there, but much lighter.Crayola Colored Pencils - This was an odd one. When it was dry, there was no smudging or lightening of any kind, but as soon as it got wet, it washed off the page. Most Permanent:Sharpie Permanent Yellow Marker - This is just the normal marker, NOT the highlighter. It worked really well. It dried quick, and does not smudge. After water and hard rubbing, it only slightly lost a little bit of color. I would recommend this one since it's cheap and holds up really well.Cheap Ball Point Pen (Dry Ink) - I hope you understand what I mean by "dry" ink, it's the ink that most really cheap ball-point pens have. For some reason, these are spectacular on this Bible. They don't smudge, dry instantly, and under water, nothing happens to them. The only way to remove a mark is to use an eraser and go pretty hard. The only problem is, these pens write really thick, so the underlines are distracting while reading back over text. Also the ink is very opaque (even with colors other than black), so you're stuck to underlining and making large annotations. The important thing to remember with this Bible is that it does not use a normal plant-based paper. It's a synthetic paper that is really impervious to the elements, so test out different things. My advice would be to test out serval options of what you have laying around on the back page and see what works best. Happy reading!

Mine was NOT the entire Bible.
I must be the only one, but mine was a waterproof new testament with psalms and proverbs. I have started the return process.

Buy this bible...learn about God and enjoy his wilderness creation
A little pricey but man is this bible awsome. Take it camping and I don't mean in a nice luxury camper, I hammock camp in the wilderness. It is great. No worries on damaging it

Excellent quality Bible
I bought this Bible for my kid who was turning 16. This is the best Bible available in the market. Very high quality paper and print. Watch out for the count size. They are tad bit smaller than the traditional Bible.

Ministering to the woodland creatures
Needed a weatherproof Bible to keep on my porch bench and use as my quiet time after my morning runs. Works perfectly

Waterproof Bible NIV
I love the idea of not worrying if my Bible gets wet ... or spilled on ... but at m y age (70 next week) ... I should have read a few more reviews before deciding to buy it because the font size is really a bit too small for me. But I love it ... and it came before the forecast delivery date.

Overall good product but small print
Pros:I tested with a drop of water and it is 100% waterproof just as advertised. This could be good for camping, sailing, canoeing etc. but for me it is great for my kids that have a way of touching books with sticky fingers... now I can wash the pages without any damage. The pages are stronger than paper. i.e. they are much more tear resistant than paper.Cons:The pages are actually plastic and there is a warning at the front that temperatures above 150°F (65.5°C) will adversely affect the Bible. I just did a quick search I found a table that claims that with an outside temperature of 100°F (38°C) the temperature inside a car will reach 150°F (65.5°C) in only 60 minutes. I guess the 100% worry free label on the jacket doesn't apply to leaving it in your car on a hot sunny day! I think the pages would start to wrinkle from the heat. The print is a bit small for my liking. More specifically I measured the letters and capitol letters are exactly 2 mm high. lower case letters such as o are 1.2 mm high. The Bible is only 692 pages, for comparison I checked my other NIV Bible which and it is 1,078 pages so there are almost twice as many words per page on this waterproof bible (and the pages are almost exactly the same dimensions for both Bibles). It is also quite bulky (for a small print Bible) 8.75" x 5.9" x 1.1" (22.3 cm x 15 cm x 3 cm). This is significantly thicker than my other NIV Bible that is 1,078 pages too). This means that the pages are much thicker but by looking at the pages they don't appear unusually thick. It is a "Paperback" cover, at least that is how it is listed on Amazon but it is actually plastic, not paper. The cover offers the same level of protection as a typical paperback book. The spine of the Bible is wavy (not flat like most books). The binding was done with hot glue but it looks like it was not smoothed out well enough before it cooled. This issue is only cosmetic and all the pages are secure. The pages crease very easily just as easy if not a bit easier than with a typical paper Bible.Other comments:I saw the other comment on Amazon about missing pages and duplicated pages. I took a quick flip through the Bible when I received it to see if I had any missing pages but it looks like they are all here.Even though my cons list is much longer than the pros list I am still happy with the purchase. I will need to be careful not to bake it in the car but other than that I am sure it will serve the purpose of having a waterproof Bible to take on a Kayak trip, a sailing trip or just to wash off sticky marks left by the kids.

It wears out quickly!
I bought this for my dad and he reads it when he has a bath. It hasn't even been a year and the bible has never gotten more than half a cup of water spilled on it and now pages are ruined and the cover is discolored! I didn't spend more than $50 on a bible that is supposedly "waterproof" to have it be barely even water resistant! I don't know if I got a bad copy or if it's hardly durable but I am not very impressed...

Missing pages!
I bought this as a travel bible a few months ago, and just today realized there are missing pages! Pages 149-156 and 173-180 are all missing. Pages 157-164 are repeated back to back, as are 165-172. Very disappointed in the product, would have expected to at least have a full Bible for the price. I will have to see if I can get a correct copy exchanged from the publisher.
