Games that are entertaining even for adults!
Another teacher loaned me this book to use in ESL, and now I am buying my own copy! Our group is sponsored by Literacy for Life, and we have found the activities in this book to be very enjoyable and a great way for students to get over being nervous about speaking English. They are also getting better acquainted with their tutors and the other students. Tutors and students alike have requested a weekly activity from this book!

I would only say that it was not so much helpful to me.

Pretty good, useful book for most ESL classes.
Pretty good book. Some of the activities are very simple, but hey, I bought it to get 101 ESL Activities and that's what I got.

Layout of book disappointing
The information with in the book is good, I was just disappointed by the lack of care lasting out the book. One game instruction starts at the bottom on one page when it should have started at the top of the next page. I bit more font management and location placement would have helped the overall look of the book.

Some good, some bad
Some ideas are OK, but some are a bit odd. For example, the author suggests tohave students think of two dead people and write down when he was born/where he was from, why he was famous, how he died... 😨

EFL
It’s been well proofread but it should be pointed out that it’s written with an ‘English as a foreign language’ middle class (probably Korean) uni class in mind. Most ideas will fall flat with an eal class that’s just been scooped out of a refugee camp.
