Lots of poo gags
This book has its good and bad parts, it's a simple story that can be good at bedtime but can be repetative.First off this book has gone heavy on the poo gags, some funny some really not so. The problem is that it doesn't relent which can get a bit tedious.I'd say it's the same with the story it's quite a good concept but generally the same thing keeps happening over and over again.Overa I'd give this book three stars, a decent bedtime read but not a classic.*Edit* I've added an extra star to this because since doing the review my son has asked to read it again a couple of times and really his opinion is the one that matters

Will appeal to those with an appreciation for 'toilet' humour!
This is a super hero story with great illustrations about a new super hero trying to find out his role. The nature of the superhero is reflected in his name, Superpoop. As he tries to come to the rescue, he is often thwarted and other superheroes are needed to save the situation - until a very special occasion when only he can help. The story is filled with plays on words, puns and jokes which are literally 'toilet' humour. Whilst these are often funny, there are possibly just too many of them in this story, detracting from the adventure and story at times. The illustrations are colourful, bright and attractive, there are a range of other superheroes involved, too. I can think of some pupils who would have laughed their way through this book, but don't think it will be one that they'd enjoy re-reading time and time again . . . . which is a shame as it had great potential!

A bit too heavy on the toilet humour for its own good.
I thought this book would be a big hit with my elder two kids (aged 7 and 4), who are fans of the “supertato“ books. Unfortunately this one isn’t quite in the same league and went noticeably flat during our bedtime read. The book rather overdoes the toilet humour, often with multiple puns on each page to the point where the jokes are either unfunny or somewhat lost on its young audience (I even had to explain a couple of puns to them!). In general the book is nicely illustrated and the concept could work with a bit of tweaking, but I can’t see this one being re-requested by my children as many other books we have often are.

Good humour, well illustrated
This will appeal to little kids as they think anything to do with poo is hilarious. The illustrations are fun, without being too lurid or gross and the story is easy to follow. When potty training it’s important that your toddler does view poo as a negative thing, so this is going to be helpful. Let’s hope after reading this that they don’t try to make their poo fly!Hope you found my review helpful
