Buyers.. What jars they actually fit by brand name
I really like these labels ....HOWEVER....I ordered all 3 sizes of these labels; first the half pints then the pint and quarts... but AMAZON messed up my order they sent me 2 pints instead of a pint and a quart (somebody doesn't know how to read in the shipping department) The packaging on the product only has the different sizes listed in small print on the bottom of the package so it's not hard to mix them up.(see the picture of product and you'll see what I mean).. It's poor packaging design on the part of Modern Harvest! poor quality control in the AMAZON shipping department. What I found out about these labels so far is:The half pint labels fit Ball/ Kerr and Golden Harvest half pint jars as well as Ball/Kerr 12 ounce jelly jars. The Pint labels fit ONLY Ball/Kerr pint jars and pint and a half jars (regular and wide mouth)... but NOT Golden Harvest MASON pint jars or Walmart brand pint jars.(they mentioned in the description that they might not fit generic (walmart)jars but said would fit Mason Jars)The jury is still out on the quart size since I had to re-order the quart and am having to return the extra pint labels which can take forever. I will update my post on the jars they fit when my quart size labels finally arrive...Edited 7-8-14Ok, The quart size finally came they only fit Ball/ Kerr no others that I have in my pantry...Not Golden Harvest Mason. This is a problem for me since I use a lot of Golden Harvest Mason Jars when I can because they are what's sold at our local store. (I live out in the country) The labels are really good looking and I love that they leave no residue on the jars. They just need to fit all pint jars so they can be used by everyone for all their jars. I measured it out and they would only have to increase the pint size of the labels by a few millimeters to fit...a simple fix. I hope they do this soon! That's my 2 cents....Thanks for the read!

Easy to use, fast
I didn't understand how this worked so I bought some to try out after reading all the rave reviews. It's a circular band that you slip over your jar from the bottom end, then slide up in place. You use permanent marker to label it ahead of time. Then use your jar lifter to immerse your jar into a small pot hot water after it has come to a boil. Within seconds, the band shrinks to hug the circumference of the jar, and it is on to stay until you remove it. Lots of labels for a little money. One minor caveat...when using these labels for jars of DARK-colored jams/jellies (grape, black cherry, etc.), you cannot read the MONTHS or the YEAR listed printed on back of the labels. That's bc the words are printed in black and are TOTALLY obscured by the dark color of the jam/jelly inside. The little white boxes show up, but not the information of month/year next to it. You'll have to write that info on the top of the lid to be be sure. Just sayin'.

Best Labels Ever!
I wouldn't do without these labels now. I've two sizes and have been using them all year. They look great, are easy to use, and dating is so simple & easy on the back. Plenty of room on most of the designs - even for my scrawl.I always removed the rings and wiped jars down after they cooled anyway, so dunking them in hot water to shrink the labels fits right into my routine. After that, I let them dry, put clean, dry rings on and into the pantry they go.Minor con - One of the designs (w/black band) is cramped for space to write.Suggested improvements -I give many of my canned goods away, so I'd like a place to write in my name and a pre-printed note along the lines of - "Please reuse or return this jar & lid for next year's bounty." - would be great.

Sent quart size and not pint.
I really like the labels, but honestly they sent me quarts, when I ordered pints. It happens I was disappointed, but to argue itis mute to me. I will use them eventually and the price was the same for either size. I just can more pints than quarts.I dislike the residue from sticky labels, and these eliminate that.

Classy Basic Canning Jar Labels
I purchased these heat shrink canning jar labels to package Christmas gifts. I was not actually canning, but I attached the labels to empty canning jars to be filled with granola. The labels were easy to write on, easy to apply, and easy to look at. There were no problems with the boil-and-heat shrinking method. The labels attached themselves just as expected. One of the reasons I purchased these was that I liked the style. The black and white is classy and basic but still dressy enough to perk up your jars. The best part is that you can simply cut them away when you are finished. No messy label residue will be left on your jar.

The reason these are selling at such a good price is that the pre-printed years end at 2017
The reason these are selling at such a good price is that the pre-printed years end at 2017! I love these labels and they're great quality, but a note that they say 2017 would have been useful. There's room for writing details, so I can easily write 2018 myself, but I was planning to use them for jars that I would give as gifts, and the incorrect date makes them less useful for that. I'm still using them, but wish I hadn't wasted my money.

Great Labels (no residue makes for easy removal)
These are great! I have used both the pint size and the half pint size on several batches of jars. Would buy again. Suggestion for manufacturer would be to add more design selection choices. I don't dislike what's there. Just a personal preference.A word of caution: do not try putting the labels onto the jars until they have fully cooled from the canning process (if you're processing the jars first). If they are even a bit warm still, the labels will stick to the jar in the wrong places before you've had a chance to lower them into the boiling water.

Really great product! There is no adhesive
Really great product! There is no adhesive, so no sticky residue on the jars, and they look very neat and professional. I especially like the "opened on" date section on the back of the label. The first jar of peaches that we finished using these labels fooled my husband...he was going to be nice and scrape off the sticky stuff for me, and he was like.....whaaaa..... no label to scrape off??? Yep, just slide a knife under the band and you're ready to go again. The only downside for me is the price...they aren't cheap, but I will probably buy them again.
