Gather seniors at a local residence facility for an afternoon of painting birdhouses and eating donuts. It was great 😊

I purchased this to do with my grandkids and we had so much fun doing it. It is slotted and goes together easily with a little glue so there isn't a lot of figuring out the instructions on how to do it. Once they are put together it's just all about decorating and the little wooden cut out pieces that are included are adorable and the kids liked gluing them on and then painting everything. I was worried that we would have to put it together and wait for it to dry before we could decorate but we did not have to wait because the slots are tight enough to hold it together on its own. We actually did not put the wind chimes on the bottom on the birdhouse we just did it as a separate wind chime and have them hung outside, so really really got 6 projects instead of just 3 out of the kit. I highly recommend this kit. We already have birds making a nest in one of them and it's so exciting.

These obviously aren't going to be high quality but they are cute and will serve their purpose. The box they came in was really plain and bland. Not the best for gifting if you care about that kind of thing. I'm planning on separating them all out and giving them to individual people so it's not an issue for me but this may bother other people. It's thinner wood but still a great project for kids. I'm definitely happy with the purchase so far. That said they haven't actually been put together just yet. If I remember I will update once the kids have done them.

I bought these because my son likes to art and we both love animals.First of all, the paintbrushes are flimsy, and apply the paint in patchy swatches, spreading it thinly. Basically, if you want something as vibrant as the sellers' pictures, you need a better paintbrush or a second (or third) paint job.It's a fun project, and even if you aren't the most artsy-craftsy person in the world, it's simple, cute, fun with kids, and maybe a bird will like it enough to settle in. Maybe.

Fun to paint and decorate. I use my own craft paints, so I have no idea how good of coverage the kit’s paint would be. One bird house completed, two more to go. Needs to have spray sealant put on, and then ready for outside hanging. …. Second birdhouse and chimes completed. Used some extra foam flowers that I had around.

I gifted this for for my grandchildren as they love crafts. There are 3 of them, so it was perfect and they enjoyed making it their own for their new home
