Great pan for Korean AND Western BBQ
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pan, both the grill pan and the tray. Seems extremely solid and long lasting. And it is not heavy at all so a perfect combination. I was hesitant in getting this as the grill pan is more for western style BBQ and I wanted a Korean style where the grooves are not as pronounced or at all for more variety of cooking. If you want the fat to drain faster (cooking fatty cuts of meat), this is not the right one. So have a look at their domed shaped one for faster oil drainage. Nor can this be used for stew type of Korean cooking as the liquid drains outwards and no way to contain the liquid on the cooking surface. Then, you need to get the concaved surface with a plug in the middle.Different reviews state high heat vs low heat but I think that is depending on your stove more than anything. I use mine on mid to mid-high and works very well for both Korean and Western BBQ. Non-stick and extremely easy to clean as well. One issue I had with was the size of the bottom to catch the gas stove grate. Perhaps my stove is a non-standard size but I spent a long time looking for a grate to put on top of my stove so the pan doesn't tip over. With the water and fat inside, could be very dangerous. The hole opening diameter is 8 inches and my stove grate is 8.5 inches so I thought it would have been fine. No, it wasn't. The pan slides all over the place as the grate was not sitting on the flat part of the tray. So, I am actually using a steamer tray (I think that's what it's for anyway) to rest on top of my grate (see picture) so the pan sits flat and stable. Your grate needs to be at least 9.5 inches to catch the flat bottom part of the tray. 10.5" is where the tray groove mark is (it's raised a bit; 3 / 32 inch)The drip pan gets as hot as the main grill pan for me after awhile so be careful. Cooking salmon steaks were not ideal for me as I was trying to control the oil splatter with lower heat and it just took too long. And, I prefer salmon oil mixed in for full flavouring so depends on how you cook your food I suppose. Best to get a glass cover to control oil splatting and/or to trap the heat for your cooking type. The lid should be 12.5" or smaller to be exact...Update: I tried "wet" BBQ (marinated beef and marinated pork belly) and it came out very well. The spattering and burning of marinade weren't too bad with the heat down. The fat doesn't drain much for thicker cuts of pork belly so I just used a wet paper towel with a chopstick to push the fat to the tray between new batches and it came out very nicely.

Versatile and good quality pan!
I had recently bought the traditional Korean barbecue pan that goes on top of a small, portable stove. Really love that this one is nonstick and can be used on an electric burner stove top. Remember to put a little bit of water into the ring so that the juices that drip down do not burn and smoke. I wish I had found this before I spent $70 on a portable gas burning stove and the uncoated barbecue plate I bought at the store that was impossible to clean! This TECHEF plate worked great. It’s heavy, quality and after cooking on it, it literally rinsed off clean before I could wash it with soap. (Remember to let it cool fully.) I think that will be key to maintaining the nonstick surface.FYI- I was expecting the dome to be super high. It’s not. But wasn’t a problem at all. I still had different ’heat zones’ to play with as I cooked…. Love this!

I was impressed with how easy it was to use and even more impressed with how easy it was to clean.
Pros:** Indoors - Our family loves grilling food. When the weather is nice we grill outdoors all the time. We live in the desert and our weather can be extreme sometimes. This grill lets us enjoy grilled food even when the weather won't allow us to do it outside.** Teflon - I grilled chicken and beef on our stove top with this. I was expecting for the chicken to be a problem. I thought it was going to stick and tear when i went to flip it. I'm happy to report that, it didn't happen. It cooked like a dream.** Easy to clean - First off cleaning this was made even easier because the grease and liquids drained off of the cooking and into the bottom tray. That means that no grease is left on the cooking surface to burn and stick. Second, the dishwasher got this squeaky clean. I just ran it with the rest of my dishes and it was good as new.** Flavor - Because there's no need to use oil, you end up with clean, fresh and non greasy flavor. You can really taste the seasoning and meat. You also get the nice caramelized and charred taste that the grill marks provide.** Health - There's no need to grease or oil the pan. The teflon makes it nonstick even for veggies. I tried grilling asparagus and zucchini along with my protein and they ended up extra tasty. Once i was halfway done grilling the protein, i added the veggies to the grill. They were a hit! The veggies were crisp, tender and they picked up all of the flavor of the meat.Cons:** Not Induction- This is the one thing that i wish i could change about this grill set. It's designed to be used with gas stoves.Verdict:My family loved it. No need to fill a propane tank or fire up a charcoal grill outside. I was impressed with how easy it was to use and even more impressed with how easy clean up was. I'm planning on getting one for our RV too. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Works great ... must use hood vent or outdoors ... gas burner only
First, this grill pan only works with gas grill be it range top or portable butane powered ones and will not work with any other types of electric ranges and burners.https://www.amazon.com/GS-3000-Portable-Stove-Carrying-Approved/dp/B00BS4RP7S/ref=pd_bxgy_79_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MKT1132A99HMS6T86SQKIn order to get the grill marks, it has to be heated fairly high, and the process will produce lots of steam and smoke. Therefore, use of the hood fan exhaust is a must or recommend using it outdoors or by the window. The grill comes in two parts, the outer ring with trough to catch fat drippings and the inner grill part that has the Teflon coating. Both pieces are made of heavy gauge aluminum alloy and the Teflon coating is durable and easy to clean. The grill works much better when using thinner cuts of any type of meats like they do in a typical Korean BBQ joints. I do not recommend using this grill to cook thicker cuts of meats. When used as intended, this thing works great. Quality construction and easy to clean.

Great stainless steel plate!
But the bottom collection pan is rough and not stainless steel, so that's not great.

Pretty close to BBQ inside and almost smokeless
Easy and neat way to have a BBQ indoors without (too much) smoke. Definitely good non-stick properties, light and very easy to wash and clean. As many have mentioned, doesn't fit our gas stove top without rocking (dangerously). Solved by using a wire cake rack (10"round fits perfectly) this keeps the grill above the gas hob and is much more secure.
