Good support, but don't expect to extend the full 120 inches
The hardware supplied (mounting brackets, screws and plastic anchors) are of decent quality. the max length listed if 120 inches. the rod in in 3 sections and the total length of all 3 pieces end to end is 120". However, you need to insert the middle section into the end sections. A few inches are lost as you are doing this so the max length should be around 108". You can reduce the overlap, but the rod will be less stable. One way to remedy the issue is to add a 3rd backet in the middle. I expect all manufacturers play a bit the the max length. Other than that, it's a good product at a decent price.

A pain in the butt!
There are a number of issues I have with this rod that became apparent when in stalling and using. I bought it to go with some blackout blinds on a room that gets warmer on hot days. The rod has a small inner rod for extending for larger windows so when it’s all up your curtain rings get caught when you open and close. The mounting brackets are closed circles so the rod has to be fed through it and not just set into the bracket from above. This makes it a pain to install because then you have to feed the main rod through the hole cap it and feed in the extension rod which you will need because the rod isn’t strong. You then need to slide the middle bracket on the rod or have it pre mounted and slide the rod through that and you still have to feed your curtains on which means you have to slide the rods in and out of the holes again. It’s all all a total pain.

Looks modern and simple but has some mechanical deficiencies
I like the look of the rob with my curtains and they seem to hold it quite well but they are not that heavy. I would be a little worried about some of the heavy black curtains. The problem I had with the curtain was with the drywall anchors. The drill bit specified for the anchor is too small and when you tried hammering in the plastic anchors, the head kept breaking. I had to use one size bigger so that the anchors can hold the screws properly. Luckily the middle of the window had a stud so I had two extra anchors. The second problem I had with the rod is the extension rob that goes between the two side rods. The tolerancing on it is big enough that it sags a lot in the middle. You have to crank the set screw on the middle bracket to make it seem somewhat straight. I also don't like how the middle rod is free running. the set screw will loosen over time and when you try to slide the curtains it will just bring the whole thing down. I think for this price the hardware and build quality could have been a bit better.

Brackets are not as nice as shown
Nice curtain Rod but it is hard to install the screws under the bracket bar and the brackets are very basic and not as nice as pictured.Update: I contacted Umbra and they are sending the correct brackets. Changed to 4 stars instead of 3.Update 2: no sign of the brackets after 2 months.Update 2: exact same basic/inferior brackets were sent after a second request was made for the correct ones. Changed rating back to 3.

Didn't get the right ones in the first place
Ugh! We had ordered 3 rods and loved them. We ordered another one but, this time it came in a different colour and had different rod hooks. Amazon quickly sent us a replacement. Ended up we received the wrong curtain hooks in the first place and are stuck with the original rod hooks for the last order....Overall, good quality, but find better priced ones and a better seller elsewhere. Not worth the trouble....
