Marucci CAT9 Composite Pastime USSSA Senior League Metal Baseball Bat, 2 3/4” Barrel

If you are looking for a durable USSSA bat with a HUGE sweet spot that hits absolute nukes than you've found it. This bat is amazing! Here are some pros and (just a few) cons.Pros:Giant Barrel - As mentioned before, the sweet spot on this is giant; almost any ball squared up on the barrel is going to fly. The benefit of the huge sweet spot is not only higher quality contact but also hardly any vibration and hand sting. That means you can swing confidently even when facing higher velocity pitching.Huge Pop - The exit velocities with this bat are higher than nearly every other USSSA bat I've used. It goes without saying that the faster the ball is coming off the bat the higher the likelihood of getting hits and isn't that what you're really hoping to get out of a new bat.Balanced Swing - This bat is in the Goldilocks range for swing weight; not too heavy, not too light, just right. Since it comes in a -10, -8, and -5 it is easy to find just the right weight for every youth ballplayer.Durability - I easily have over 2,000 swings on this bat and it is holding up incredibly well. This is especially impressing since composite USSSA bats are not known for their durability. After all of those swings there isn't a crack, rattle or seam to be seen or heard on this bat.Cons:Grip - I don't know why they chose to put a white grip on this thing. The grip that comes with the bat is decent but it looks like trash pretty quickly because it's white. I also think this bat would benefit from having more of a taper on the handle.Paint - This is a small complaint because it has no impact on the performance of the bat but the paint scratches and chips pretty easily. It really isn't that big of a deal but the bat looks used very quickly.Overall, I would highly recommend this bat to any youth baseball player from 8 - 14 years old! I don't think you'll find a better all around bat on the market than this and especially not for the price.

Best bat for the money,I would buy more

Bought this bat two days before my son’s big state tournament. He literally unwrapped it on the way there so it had no break in period whatsoever. He was the only kid to hit a home run out the park that weekend out of all age divisions. Just shy of 300 feet. He’s 11, 5’2, 140lbs. He had no complaints and says this bat is his favorite out of the 20 he owns. Well worth the price paid for it.

My son had to have this bat. Worked hard to save his money and bought it. Money well spent.

This bat was very popular among my sons travel team. It’s very light and pops them out there!

Highly recommend now that you can get it a little cheaper with the cat x out.
