Fascinating Experiment That Should Be Examined
Here is what should be one of the more interesting releases to come out in the year 2016. Ulver has come back with an album full of new material for all of us to enjoy (or so you might think). The material on this album is actually created out of live multitrack performances of older songs ("Moody Styx" using samples from "Doom Sticks" for example) along with improvisational soundscapes. Some might complain about that move and worry that it could be a sign of declining originality (a'la AC/DC), however in this case it is executed brilliantly and shows that this band knows how to read between the lines and reinterpret new meaning from old works, thus breathing new life into them in the process. This band never fails to create something new and interesting (even out of something that's been done before). I highly recommend this one.

Ulverview of Ulver
This release relates to their most recent releases, severely augmented from live show content. The result is creative soundscapes on an audio foundation off Ulver fun. It's not the old Ulver, but it's the much more musical new Ulver. And it is the next progression you would expect. While not perfect, it is perfectly enjoyable.

These guys have been in constant evolution and I always look forward to going in a different direction with everything they create. This is another example of them bending in a new way and not disappointing.

Worth a Listen
This album was decent. I hold "Lyckantropen Themes" as the best album they've ever done. I doubt they can ever top it or mimic it. But it's worth a listen.

Five Stars
A fine blend of drone, avant-garde, and a hint of black metal.

Qui siamo tra l'ambient e l'art-musica sprazzi del capolavoro Peritino City riemergono con Nowhere e richiami all'etereo Shadow Of The Sun. Quasi 80 minuti di suoni notturni, ipnotici, oscuri, riflessivi, eterei.... Immensi!
