Warning: don’t buy this because your dog will slip out of this harness if you pull your dog. I had to chase my dog today because he escaped from this harness. This harness is made if the dog pull you; however, if you have a stubborn dog and you pull your dog to get him to move then the harness will slide over his head. There is nothing that will secure the dogs neck...if you don’t believe me , buy this and then step in front of you dog and pull and you will see the harness move over his head

If your dog can get out of it, you're probably not putting it on correctly. I will admit, the instructions are not very good (non existent) and it's not super intuitive on how it all should go properly, but it's also not rocket science. I wish that it was easier for the seller to advertise custom velcro patches through Amazon with the sale of a harness, it would be beneficial for them.That being said, I went with black, and glow in the dark labels for both my pups, and English Bulldog (size 2) and an EBD/Boxer mix (size 1.) I love the big O-Ring on the back for clipping in the leash, the handles are nice, and the harness slips over the head with ease. Long gone are the days of having to pick up my dogs by their front legs and hoping they would stay still while I slid a harness loops through their legs, what a joke that was! I can get my dogs ready to go outside in less than 30 seconds, what was maybe a 2-3 min ordeal prior to this harness.I get compliments on them all the time, and both my boys look handsome and official. I've used the handles to pick them both up and pull them out of brawls at the dog park. I will say, the big one (75lbs) was able to houdini out of his harness, but I've since tightened it up, and it has not happened again. I believe I left way more wiggle room than I should have, but that plays back into the beginning of my review! I would order another one in a heartbeat... and I did.

Let's cover the negatives first. The only whines I have are that the band covering the chest isn't padded, and it's hard to get to perfectly adhere so there are no wrinkles. NOW let's go over the pluses! This velcro under the strap really helps. Brutus usually gets caught up on things while he's rubbing against them and this feature has really helped with that. It isn't super strong but that's good as it's nice to be able to grab the handle in a pinch and not worry about it not coming loose (* Such as if he sees something he REALLY likes and tries to run a bit) Next up is the color. The overall shade is nice and bright and really is eye catching. I picked this blue so it would stand out if I needed to see him quickly. Works great! The ring for the leash clip is amazingly strong and while it seems just a hair back does a great job and I don't feel like ti will snap off if he uses his might. The clip and strap combo make taking this off and putting it on very easy yet sturdy and hard to adjust from the dog pulling. My last harness he'd stretch himself and it would loosen on it's own. Overall this is a great harness and very well built guys. BUY IT! And for the English Bully owners, it's great for their awkward fit. Just have a gander!

UPDATE: received a vest from the Julius-K9 website (as a gift) and it is totally different than this product! This did not have Julius-K9 tags velcro'd on when I received, which I understand now. I am returning this because it has no fastener for the handle on the back, has different care labels inside the harness, and has lower quality stitching on the chest-strap. It's a fine vest, but not the harness I expected. 2 stars because it's a nice vest, but it's not what is advertised.ORIGINAL: Ordered this for my puppy who is training as a therapy dog - it’s amazing. My only advice is: if your dog is at the small end of a size (i.e. size 1), check and see if the next size down is adjustable to that overlap (i.e. size 0). I’m keeping this size 1 because my pup will get bigger and fill it out, but I went ahead and ordered a size 0 to fit him right now.The fabric quality, stitching, padding, Velcro, patches, and construction are all stellar. I added on a front-hook chest strap, and it’s the harness of our dreams. Make sure you verify you’re not getting a knockoff brand instead!I will update this review if and when necessary, should a problem arise.

First and foremost, BEST HARNESS EVER.I've been on MANY websites and tried out SO MANY harnesses. I wasted so much money! But I finally grew a brain and asked German shepherd owners through Instagram what harness do they use on their GSD of just a harness they recommend on dogs and they all said Julius-K9.I ordered the size 2 and I was so afraid it wouldn't fit my 10 month, 78lb German shepherd but it does! It has the adjusting strap to make it looser or tighter and the Velcro strap in the front of his chest. It also has a Velcro strap handle near the leash ring which is on the top of the harness. I found that pretty neat and handy. I looovvvveeeee it! And I replaced the "Julius-K9" Velcro label with a label I ordered online!

This harness met all of my expectations, even after hearing raves about it from other dog owners. We have English bulldogs who can be difficult to fit, but we ordered according to the size measurements provided, and with a little adjustment of the straps, it fit perfectly! It doesn't slip like other harnesses we've used, and it seems to be comfortable (our boy wore it all evening and took a nap wearing it). I love the handle on the top to make it easier to get them in the car. And although I would prefer that it didn't say "Julius K-9" in large letters on the side, I like that it's reflective in the dark (I know I can get a personalized strip to go in that spot; I'd just prefer that it was a reflective strip rather than lettering. Plus now people are assuming my dogs are named Julius! LOL). It's easy to put on and take off, which says a lot based on some previous ones we had that were like puzzles. With an excited dog, that's a definite plus. We ordered the one to test it out and see if we like it, and we are now ordering a second for our other dog. It's great to attach to the child safety seat clip in the back seat to protect them while in the car. All in all, a great purchase.

Auf Grund der überwiegend positiven Rezensionen, haben wir für unsere Hündin, eine kleine Münsterländer - Dame, ein Julius-K9 Powergeschirr, Größe 2 gekauft. Der Name Powergeschirr hat dabei uns wohl etwas unvorsichtig gemacht. Warum? Unsere Hündin ist ein wahres Powerbündel und wir hofften sie, damit im Griff zu haben. Aber Pustekuchen, die Dame schafft es innerhalb kürzester Zeit sich das Julius-K9 wieder abzustreifen. Was uns, aber auch vielen Anderen, außerhalb von Amazon, noch nicht gefällt, ist, das das Geschirr an der Achsel scheuert und somit für den Hund unangenehm ist. Ein Halsband ist aber auch keine Lösung, da diese dazuführen, den Kehlkopf abzuschnüren, wenn ein junger Jagdhund daran zieht. Denn so ein Kleiner Münsterländer entwickelt doch eine ganz Menge Energie und Kraft. Das sollte man unbedingt bei der Wahl eines Geschirres beachten.

This was bought as a replacement for another K9 harness we already had for our cockapoo, she has grown in the year since we picked up the first one so the only reason another was purchased was because she needed a slightly bigger one, it is not a reflection of the product or its performance, more our weakness in giving out treats to the dog!Below is the review for our original purchase and all of the points raised remain valid after a few weeks of extensive use of this new one, quality is not diminished and the dog is happier as she now has an extra notch on her belt :)---------------We had tried all manner of halti leads, traditional collars, 3 point harnesses and more before we picked up this harness for our Cockapoo after seeing another Cockapoo sporting one in a park.Our dog loves to pull ahead, its a constant when on the lead, we have tried to train her we have had three instructors to try and help but to no avail. With this in mind it was important for us to get a harness that firstly could help reduce this and more so made her as comfortable as possible without the strangling effect you see on lots of types of harnesses and leads.- You can tell the build quality is excellent as soon as you unwrap the harness, the stithcing is reinforced, the material itself where not webbing appears to be hardwearing padded cordura.- Its super simple to place over your dogs head then a quick clip together of the seatbelt like fixing buckle. Other products we have tried required one leg through this hole, another leg through that hole, it became a chore and at times distressing for the dog, this takes a few seconds.- We picked up two to get the right size, at the time our dog had a chest of i think 21inches and weighed circa 13kg. A size Mini was picked - however she has now outgrown this, so we have just ordered a size 0 - As a tip whilst it may be a pain you could be better off ordering two sizes then returning one if your dog is borderline on the size charts between two.- There is a good level of adjustment on the buckle strap so you can adjust your fit, we found this really useful as much like humans if the dog has eaten a lot she might have a fuller tummy, when in super wet conditions as per the pictures she sometimes has a fleece on, the adjustments can be made quickly and easily so as not to cause discomfort.- Functionally this really has reduced the pull factor, it has not eliminated it nor did we expect it to, we just wanted for her not to be hurting herself if pulling whilst on the lead. It really does do that. With some other harnesses you could see her walking and running gait change whilst wearing, indicating that the harness did not fit or was uncomfortable, with this that is not the case.- Security wise, she has never slipped out, i read some reviews that said this might happen, it can happen with any harness and a determined dog in an ill fitted harness, we have not had an instance.- The clip for the lead is just about right regards size, length and placement, it doesnt bang in to the dog whilst off the lead and is easily found whilst also trying to find a towel and treats, one handed operation is easy.- Durability wise we bought this in October 2018, we are now having to replace it but only because our dog has gotten a little larger so a size 0 is a better fit. During this time it has been exclusively the only harness we use bar when on organised park runs for which she has a special running harness. For good housekeeping we wash between 3 and 4 times a week depending on the trails and water, sometimes more sometimes less, but always its a machine wash.- Considering the amount of machine washing and 7 days a week walking this has been extremley durable. There are a couple of fabric grazes here and there, but there doesnt appear to be any structural issues, the panels are all intact, the lead anchor and belt clip both work fine and securely.- If you are machine washing then to save wear and tear on your machine and the harness, buy a couple of cheap pillow cases and wash the harness inside those, will reduce noise too!- Overall this is a fantastic product, well designed, durable, looks great, the dog is always happy to see it coming out of the cupboard and it really has changed how she walks, five stars.

Bought a new puppy in 2019 and when we went to dog training almost everyone seemed to have their dogs on a Julius K9 Harness vs connecting the lead to the collar.It just makes sense and I've not used a lead on a collar since. Two years later and the harness still looks like new (after chucking it through the washing machine), really it's a great quality product.We've just got another new puppy to keep the other dog company and immediately bought another harness.Really you can't go wrong, I suspect the harness will outlast your dog. It's so refreshing to find a modern product that's priced fairly and built to last.

Easy to use, secure and seeming comfy fit. Must be aware that if the clasp gets muddy it may (and has) become undone, so careful cleaning needed after muddy walks. This is the fourth harness we have had for our 8 month old pup and others have lasted a matter of weeks, so after a month or two of being used there are no signs of wear, slippage or rips (which have all happened with the others).This harness has a good range to expand, so for a growing puppy will have a much longer life than it’s predecessors.I really like the colour and the hi-viz strip at the front is ideal for evening walks.If I ever need another harness will certainly get another one of these!

We bought a Halti harness on the recommendation of the people we got the dog from and he managed to tear one of the straps inside of a week! He's had this for nearly two weeks now and, although he's not overly fond of it, it's strong, durable and comfortable enough that he tolerates it. He is a thin but sturdy dog so it doesn't sit as well on him as it possibly should do. We've tightened the various straps but he has a broad chest and thin neck so can get his lower jaw under the front strap when he's letting us know he's not happy about being in a harness, mostly because it's a lot of material for a warm summer's day. Most of the time he wears this happily, will stop him if he tries to sprint after something without causing him any undue harm beyond being stopped mid-run and most of the time he tolerates it well. Would definitely buy again.
