Just buy this tool in the first place and save yourself a headache.
I first purchased the Park Tool threaded bottom bracket tool and it was basically unusable: the tool was perfectly fine but the splines on the Shimano bottom bracket were too shallow (and generally poorly casted) to engage and the tool slipped out when more than token force was applied. After some additional research this turns out to be a common problem with threaded bottom brackets. The Bikehand tool, on the other hand, has a piece that screws into the end of the square taper axle to hold the tool on. The long, rubber gripped handle then provided additional leverage and didn't hurt my hand. 30 seconds with this tool and bottom bracket was loose and easily removed.

It works
The tool works. It’s easier than the way I was doing it before. Very well made and has a long enough handle to apply leverage on stubborn lower brackets. Delivery was fast and a great value even if you only work on your own bikes.

Just get it, it works.
Got it to remove a cross threaded BB that the bike shop couldn’t even remove. The screw, which can be removed, does a great job keeping it centred and allows you to ratchet with it. I used a pipe to extend the handle for the removal, but was easy to use when installing the new BB.

I love this tool!!!
I had an extremely stuck BB. Soaked in PB blast for a week. Used a cheater bar, bolted my tool to the crank spindle ended up rounding the edges of the tool I had with a pipe wrench. Before I went out and got a blowtorch, and since I needed a new tool anyway, I figured I'd try this. This gives you SOLID engagement with the cup, it's basically one piece so it's super sturdy. I was able to give it a few wacks with a mallet, then put all my weight on it, and I got the dang thing out. Some bike hand stuff is hit or miss, but this is Park/Pedro's quality. If you're like me and refuse to let a bottom bracket defeat you this is a good tool for your arsenal.
