Video Boom Pole
I'm pretty comfortable with RODE products, they always make them very good. No exception here. Very useful boom for documentary filmmaking, or just any situation where you need to hold your mic close to the talent's head. It's also not too heavy, and very compact when you need to travel with it.

Works well.
Feels solid and it's light. You can fit an XLR cable into the boom pole, but some cables can't fit. (And it is a bit jank.)Make sure the XLR cable connector you have doesn't go much over a 3/4" diameter otherwise you might find it difficult to fit.Protip: Fit the male side of the XLR cable into the base of the pole first. The female side has the latch and that tends to catch on things inside of the pole, making it harder to insert.

Did not support the weight of a NTG3 with Blimp
The product did not fully tighten at the top and rolled on itself when a Rode NTG 3 with a blimp was attached to it. Also a standard xlr cable does not fit through the boom pole. Company decided to attach a studio broadcast mic that weighs nothing to it, to tell me it works. haha Really pathetic, nowhere close to the same weight and then had the audacity to charge a restocking fee. Buyer beware their outside amazon website states hassle free returns... NO WHERE CLOSE!

Can't go wrong with Rode. This boom pole is worth the price and name.

Nothing Mini about it other then it's overall reach
It advertises that is packs up small. Its the exact same length as my sennheiser boom once collapsed. My bad for not looking closer but this isn't mini at all. I'd love to return it but that's not even an option either.

A very useful tool for interviews
Light but good enough to handle my RODE reporter Mic, boom on a holder fitted on a Light stand

Cheap and effective
This rode boom pole does what it says on the tine- at one of the cheapest I found on the net, it's both sturdy and adaptable. It's extendable, and it is possible to feed wire through it as well. The microphone mount screw is metal so you know it will be long lasting. The pole it light, comfortable to hold, and definitely an aid as well as a necessity.

genial
