Fantastic!Having read the reviews after being thoroughly fed up with my very expensive, very poor Dyson, I decided to give this a go. Dead easy to assemble, a touch on the heavy side but I am rather short to be fair, I'm sure a taller than 5'1 person could lift it with ease. The detachable bit for the stairs is amazing, easy to carry and move around, loads of clever buttons that are all clearly marked and very satisfying to click, a proper clunk if you will, so you know it's pressed. The first time I used it, I noticed the carpet pile was lifting and not looking all flattened like it has been. I decided to do a proper test and vacuum with said stupid Dyson before I used this bad boy, just to see what it would pick up....the picture is of what it picked up on one go around my living room. Feeling slightly queasy and gross, I did the rest of the house. The tools fit on the base of the vacuum so you can swap quickly, I gave everywhere a proper clean and ended up emptying it 4 times from what it picked up...I'm a clean person and vacuum at least 4 times a week, I have 2 dogs who shed like they'll soon get charged for it and a teenager who is, well, a teenager. This is the absolute business though. The price goes nowhere near reflecting the performance, I would expect this to cost far more than my Dyson pet vacuum did as it out-performs it by miles and miles. Please don't judge my dust, the house is spotless now!

I have previously bought Dyson animal cleaners, but my last one I found disappointing, so opted for a change. I chose this one based on some of the reviews I had read on amazon, but I hadn’t expected it to be so good.It came in a variety of pieces but was very straight forward to put together. I’m not the most practical of people, but had it assembled in about 5 minutes. Being able to swop between hard floor for my matwell, and quite deep pile carpet without fussing with different attachments was also a bonus for me. I also used the lift away system to vacuum the stairs which worked really well, really easy, light and did the job perfectly.I have two dogs, and although my previous dyson had lifted most of their hair out of the carpet there was still some there, also what I can only describe as dirt which I was horrified to see coming out of my carpet.I’m not the strongest, but didn’t find this too heavy. The light on the front is useful too.I think this vacuum cleaner would be a strong contender for anyone, so glad I bought it!!

The vac works perfectly on carpet, it sucks up a treat.. But, the thing has carved tram lines in my wood floor and lino. I'm having to send it back before it destroys the floor completely.

I love this hoover!!! I have a pug and anyone who has a pub can appreciate how much they malt! Well this hoover has picked up all the hairs!!! It has lifted my carpet back up and made it look like a brand new carpet again!! I would definitely recommend this hoover!!

Arrived next day after ordering and by chance, my daughter-in-law walked in the door and said cheerfully 'Oh, good! I've got the same model-it is brilliant!' And promptly began to show us how our new Shark works. I am 82 and my wife is 77 so this is just the ticket for us. Not heavy, and easy to use on the stairs as well as the floors in our house.
