Solar Shield Clipon Rec 1 56 Polarized Rectangular Sunglasses

This is the fourth time we've purchased this product. We keep one pair in the car for driving, and one in the house to put on for outdoor activities. You can't be without sunglasses in Colorado in the summertime! Be sure to order the right ones, though. The frames come in multiple sizes and shapes; for example,1 Rec refers to the (rectangular) shape, 54 mm to the size. Some retail stores have a display where you can compare your frames to the sizes and shapes of the sunglasses to find the right fit. We got our first pairs at Walgreens years ago, but the 1Rec54 have been out of stock for a while. I was delighted to find them here at Amazon.

Would buy again

I bought this brand at the grocery store before and it was a solid durable clip on. This one is the opposite, it almost falls apart in your hands, the spring doesn't work right, and you have to print your own label and you can't take it to the UPS store you have to make an extra trip to the post office. Extremely inconvenient return process.

Bought the largest size they offered and they're just a little too short for his temporary glasses. BUT he LOVES the view. He was skeptical when I ordered them but says this amber color makes everything pop. He's between prescriptions, had cataract surgery on one eye but not yet the other so replacing his $800 Maui Jims at this time isn't gonna happen. I bought these in lieu of buying both clear and tinted short term eyewear. Every time he wears them he comments how much he likes the view. (Just not the goofy look of too short clip-ons!)

Best, if already know that they'll be a perfect fit except you might need needle nose pliers to adjust for lense thickness.

I have trouble finding decent clipon sunglasses. I used the size guide with calipers and cam up with 56mm. I also needed a set for metal frames. These cover pretty well but the prongs are on the ends making it a challenge to get on and off Nearly impossible with one hand.

This is less expensive than the ones that Walmart sell and are better made. They have a metal rim around the lens so they are sturdier. The ones sold now are just pieces of plastic attached to a frame at the top.

Light weight, fits perfectly and, cuts glare!
