Mometrix Media LLC PMP Exam Prep 2021 and 2022 - Project Management P: [Updated for the PMBOK Guide, 6th Edition Book]

I used this book for the new PMP test for 2021. It helped me to ensure that I understood the terms in the PMBOK, which I think was incredibly helpful. Having taken the test, the only resource that can prepare you for the types of questions that they’ll ask is the PMI prep course. These questions ARE NOT the questions (or anywhere close to the level of difficulty) that appear on the test.I didn’t read this book. I only used the questions. I did feel like a few questions didn’t have the correct answers.Overall I do think it helped me to pass the test but it cannot be used solely or as a replacement for reading the PMBOK.

I passed my test but it was not because of this book. The 2021 pmp exam is at least 50% Agile/hybrid based questions. This book is 90% predictive model based. If I didn’t spend a lot of time watching videos and researching materials outside of this book, I would not have passed this test.I also thought the book could have been improved by having generic test taking information and strategy for the pmp exam specifically or explained the TOC better.

Exam questions use non-standard terminology and sentence structure is poor. Some sentences, questions, answers make no sense.

This book is only good for a partial, brief overview of information. It does not cover Agile, which is now 50% of the PMP exam beginning in January of 2021, so the title can be a bit misleading. One would definitely need to review other sources to get a well-rounded concept of what is covered on the exam. If you don't have the Agile practice guide, I absolutely recommend getting it and thoroughly studying its contents.

Took my PMP exam on July 26; this book does not provide the information you need to pass that exam. Try something else.
