You are Wrong!
We've bought this a couple times, but are a bit disappointed this year. There have been at least half a dozen pages where the answers are actually wrong. By that I don't mean that I just disagreed with their answer, but rather that they had the completely wrong answer. For example one of the "burnt matches" answers wasn't even the same picture as the actual puzzle. It is obvious nobody proofread an actual printed deck.

A Quick, Fun Daily Challenge
This is my second time purchasing this calendar. I bought it last year as a Christmas gift for my dad, and had to buy another this year at his request. He is not an easy person to shop for, but absolutely raves about these puzzles. He enjoys crosswords, sudoku, and most any logic puzzle. This calendar provides a great mix of puzzles and problems, which are quick enough to do each day, but still challenging. I would also like to mention that I've purchased many page a day calendars in the past, and that this calendar has an exceptionally strong construction. I am not at all concerned that it will come loose from its backing.

These were ok
We used to put up a daily riddle at work and it would stay up until it was solved. Some riddles were solved way too easily and others took days. We'd already done the Einstein riddle and many other difficult ones. I was running out of difficult riddles that would challenge us so I turned to this calendar. I saw that it said Mensa on it so I figured it would have some real stumpers in it. Unfortunately that wasn't really the case. There were a few challenging ones that took a little thought but most of them were not. They were not a success at work and people quickly lost interest. It was a bit of a bummer.

Calendar is fine, but why is it still for sale?
I've had the Mensa calendar for two years running now, and it's fine. No complaints on content. But why is the 2017 calendar still for sale, more than two weeks into 2018? I bought this thinking it was the 2018 calendar. I know, kind of ironic that I do something stupid while trying to by a calendar for smart people, and the fault is only mine, but still. Come on.

Great gift for the puzzle-solver on your list.
These puzzlers are the perfect gift for the person who doesn't want to waste a lot of time playing games, but enjoys a great unique puzzle each day. There is a good variety of math, language, strategy and logic puzzles. Some are quite challenging, and occasionally there is a hint to send you in the right direction. The answers are provided with great explanations of how to approach the puzzles if you really get stuck. I gave 3 of these as gifts and finally bought one for myself!

Some puzzles are wrong
So, in general, I really like this calendar. It has more "word" problems than I'd like, but most "intelligence" folks tend toward the more verbally skilled, where as I lean more logical. But that's not why I gave it 3 stars. Many of the puzzles aren't solvable. I'll work on one... get frustrated... I mean, I should be able to get ALL the logical puzzles. I'll give up, flip the page to look at the answer, and realize they've listed an answer for a different puzzle. The drawings aren't even the same. What the heck!?!

Wish it had less word puzzles
I had this calendar for 2015 and liked it a lot. Loved doing a puzzle a day at work. It has a good variety but a little heavy on the word puzzles. This year I've noticed at least 3 puzzles that weren't printed correctly. The one today I realized there was no way to solve, looked on the back for the answer and it was a completely different puzzle layout in the grid but with the same numbers on the edge (it was the matchstick type). So the 2016 version wasn't perfect. After the misprints and the fact that it's pretty heavy on word puzzles, I'm not sure I'd buy it again.Edit: It's happened again. One error could be understood, but this is getting ridiculous.

The calendar is great, but it wasn't packed well for shipping
The calendar is great, but it wasn't packed well for shipping. About 3/4 of the calendar pages had separated from the stand, probably during shipping. I think it slid around in the shipping box when it got thrown onto or off of the truck and that's when it broke apart. I taped it back together and it works fine since it just sits on my desk.

Firdle Tirdle!
I buy a different page-a-day calendar each year, and this one so far is proving to be my favourite. A great puzzle each day, often involving either word or number puzzles. One major gripe though, and this is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five: it's the Americanisms. For example, one puzzle required you to know that the Cheeseheads is the nickname for fans of the NFL team Green Bay Packers. Another required you to know the breakfast cereal brands Trix, Life, and Total. But the worst one yet: a puzzle that required you to guess a series of rhyming-word pairs, the second word being an animal. For example, the first clue was "amusing rabbit", the answer being "funny bunny". Another clue however was "ready to reproduce slow-poke". (Slow-poke?) The answer was "fertile turtle". Fertile turtle???!!!! Or right! Of course! Firdle tirdle! Why can't they produce British versions? Last year I bought a page-a-day calendar based on popular TV game show Countdown. Even the conundrums would feature words ending in -ize. Mind you, at least I was grateful that the numbers didn't all have degrees Fahrenheit after each one of them.On the whole, most puzzles work universally, so I recommend this calendar. Especially if it's the only mental stimulation you're likely to get at work each day.

Need a British version
Have bought this every year for about 5 years - wish we could have a British version - a number of the days are very American and difficult to answer being British.Anyone in Mensa UK prepared to take this on - would be great.
