Davis & SanfordQRPEV Quick Release Plate for Vista Explorer

I brought this because I lost the original that came with my canon camcorder. I was a perfect fit, no problems at all.glad I brought it, no regrets.

I had a classic problem: Mixing my own gear with borrowed gear, I accidentally returned my own quick-release plate that I used for my Canon Vixia and Vista Explorer stand. After discovering that I'd lost my plate and couldn't get it back, I came across the Davis & Sanford QRPEV. It works just as well as my original and was a heck of a lot cheaper than various other solutions. Very grateful this was an option!

I've been using this replacement part for a Cannon t4i, which is not the lightest camera in the world. It is very durable. It's standard design fits any quick release tripod. It fits my tripod perfectly.

It works. There is nothing but the rubber on the top of the plate to hold the mounting screw. Screw will surely get dropped and lost just as the first one did.

This item performs as expected. I lost my quick release plate for my tripod and need a replacement. This was a no brainer as it serves it's purpose and is cheaper than buying a new tripod. The quality is the same as the stock one. I would recommend this to a friend.

It makes it much faster to attache the camera to the tripod. The only negative is that it is so large, I cannot open the camera flap to access the SD memory card without detaching this. I have one of these for each of my cameras.
