Excellent grater. I love how easy it is to use and how effectively it works. The grater is solid to use and doesn't feel the least bit flimsy. I thoroughly enjoy using it and highly recommend it for anyone who wants a hand-rotary cheese grater.

The metal grater portion that comes with the unit produces very, very fine threads of cheese that hang from the unit and must be dislodged with one's hand. There appear to be no alternative grater cylinders available. Not a very utilitarian product I'm afraid. I can't recommend it at all.

I liked the grater the first time I used it, but subsequently, the turn crank separated from the drum and it fell into the chili that I was trying to grate some cheddar. I think it's a design flaw because you can only screw in the handle in one direction. In addition, it's strictly for right handed folks. I returned the item and got a full refund.

I'd hardly call this professional grade. The plastic is flimsy and thin. The cylindrical grader is also very thin and doesn't appear that it will last more than a couple years (1 year under heavy use) This company emailed me asking for good reviews which I'm completely against, and think companies like this are making Amazon reviews very watered down and biased. (Even though they claim to do the opposite)Now, as far as the grader performance goes, It works nicely but you have to squeez the handle pretty hard when grading harder cheese or nuts. When squeezing you can feel how cheap and flimsy the unit is. So far it's held up to this point and if I would have known I would have paid a little more for a higher quality product.

I was concerned about how hard it would be to clean. No worries it comes apart for easy cleaning! I only wish it had different sized blades, but there is only one size.

As previously posted, the only feature that was a problem is the grater, you can't tighten the handle too much or it won't turn and you can't reverse if chunks of cheese get stuck. Suggest a washer or spacer to let you tighten up to that point,the reverse action has no fix. The peeler can't be use for self defense it's deadly,but does a great job ounce you get used to it,easy to clean good weight.

Returned. It shaved off black bits from the plastic in to the cheese

It worked great before it broke. We had it for about a month. Going to buy a more sturdy one.
