Default mode is frenetic, doesn't work with switched outlet
These turtles are cute, and look exactly like the pictures.My first complaint is that the default mode (mode #1) is a twitching, blinking mode rather than the solid, always on mode. You can change the mode as long as you have the remote aimed at the plug and have an unobstructed view. The "always on" mode is the last on the remote, and as you click through with the button on the USB plug.My second complaint is that the string doesn't work well with a switched outlet. Rather than turning on with the switch, it must be done with the remote control each time and each time the mode defaults back to the blinking.

Grandma loved them.
It was my grandmas 72nd birthday and I wanted it to be special so I made it beach themed with a the turtle string lights as a centerpiece on the table. Everyone was delighted with them, especially grandma, who put them up on her mantle after the party.
