TINGLEY girls Rain Boot

These are Adult Size Boots - Not Youth!
The boot is a good quality, but I should have looked at the other reviews before buying. These are sized for adults not youth as the description says. I ordered a youth size 8, which fits me a women's size 10. So that tells me it is actually an Adult men's size 8 and that is the typical conversion. I set it next to my son's youth size 8 and it is a good 2 inches longer. Keep in mind they do allow returns, but you have to pay shipping even though there website description is misleading. I kept these for myself and am ordering another pair from a different company for my son.

These run large, but great quality.
These run large. The green soled boots are Walmart brand size 5 that my son has outgrown, the white soled are the new Stormtracks size 6. Quite a bit of size difference--but also better quality than the green. Note these also have a toe-off knob at the heel for easy removal. I'm keeping the size 6 for a few reasons: he can double up socks this winter, I can wear them, and they'll still fit him in 6 months. That said, I recommend buying a size small--I may still get a size 5 for a better fit.

Stinky "cancer" boots
First thing out of the box my senses are overwhelmed with negative stimulation. Cancer warning on the boot for the materials - grand - now I really want my children to wear these. The smell is overpowering and stinks like the strangest chemicals. It does not go away after months. The closet even stinks where they are stored. They feel sticky and damp when you touch the material almost semi-melted at all times. We bought two pairs and are very disappointed in the boots.

BEST Rain boots we have bought
We have tried several over the years:-Carters. Excellent although the ones with patterns scuff really easy.-Lands End. Quality holds up, but the heel is too high and wobbly because the base is smaller than the heel.-Western Chief. Awful. They crack with minimal wear. Handles pull right off. These Storm tracks fit great. Scruff proof. Perfect heel height and width. The boots we bought last year still look perfect, except now my son has grown and we need to buy a bigger size. :)

Size 13
Great quality for the price. My kid wears size 1 in sneakers but sometimes 13 depending on the brand and if they run big. This size fits perfectly but I need a little more room to grow. After reading all the reviews for these boots I decided to try size 13 only because I knew for sure it meant it was the largest size in little kids as it ranges from 1-13. Don’t miss out or get discouraged when reading the reviews on the sizing. They are good quality. Size them not by the kids age but by their built. As you can see in the pictures I took, my kid is pretty small. Hope this helps! Now I’m going to return them and order size 1 or maybe 2 in youth size.

These boots last!
This is the second pair of these boots I bought for my son. We live in the rainy PNW, and good mud boots are a necessity. I used to buy the cute patterned boots, and they would last maybe two months. They just couldn't stand up to regular wearing and kid play. These plain, durable boots were the first set that my son outgrew rather than wore out. He wore these almost daily for about 16 months. very affordable when considering the cute prints cost twice as much and lasted maybe 1/8 as long. while these may not be as fashionable, the durability more than makes up for it.

Great thick/sturdy boot, sizing runs very large.
My 10 year old son is 57" tall and is in a size 6 ½ (youth) shoe. I ordered a size 7 in this boot in order to use them for more than one season, however, the boot was way too big. It fit my foot and I wear a ladies 9 ½ shoe. According to the label, the boot would fit a sized 7 youth or a ladies 9, I would say more like a 9 ½ ladies size. These are great, just keep in mind that they run large and order accordingly. I am sure if I just ordered the size 6 for him there would have been enough room for him to grow and use them the next season.

Stinking me out
They seem great, my son loves them, except they are infused with an ungodly sickly sweet chemical smell that permeates the entire house. I’ve had to store them outside. It smells like a misguided attempt to make them grape scented, maybe? It’s been a few weeks and the smell is as strong as ever. I don’t like strong artificial scents (Yankee Candle is my personal hell). If you’re not sensitive to that sort of thing, you’ll probably think they’re great.
