Not as long as I have owned it.. Have not used for any messy food preparation .

You have a good question. I do see that the listing indicates hand washing in one section and dishwasher safe in other sections. I would never buy a plastic cutting board that I couldn't wash in the dishwasher. I have owned this board for over a year and I wash it in the dishwasher almost every day. It has not caused any problem whatsoever. I believe the "hand wash only" statement is incorrect.

Q: Can you use this cutting board as an underneath protector for a toaster

Most toasters are not well insulated and the exterior of your appliance most likely will heat up when in use, including on the bottom. Moreover, many toasters have a sheet metal underside, which might include protruding parts that could extend far enough to touch your cutting board...which is plastic...which can melt and/or get scorched. You are much better off getting a silicone "hot pad" or some other form of trivet designed to handle a hot pot.
