Works good but
My review is based on trying this pizza oven on a stove top. I have not tried it in my oven or barbecue grill yet. There's some definite problems with using this on the stove top. Number one it heats up the house and his counterproductive to having an air conditioner on in the hot summer. I put it on my largest burner and even on the largest burner on my cooktop it took a good 15 minutes to even get it close to 400°. That's the highest temperature it ever registered. I'm guessing that it was hotter than that because the pizza cooked in 5 to 6 minutes. I cooked three pizzas total. The first one as you can see in my pictures burnt on one side because I never turned it. The side of the pizza that's open does not get as hot as the side that is enclosed. I fix this by rotating the pizza while it was cooking. This also allowed me to check the bottom of the pizza to ensure I wasn't burning it. I think this cooker would work better on the stove top if it had a door to close the opening. But it's not necessary if using it in a barbecue or oven. The pizzas came out great with the bottom of the crust perfectly cooked. We love woodstone Pizza that has a nice crunchy bottom crust. I also use a little bit of cornmeal on the peel so that the Pizza would slide off the peel easier. But this presented a problem on the second and third pizzas. And that is because the leftover cornmeal started to burn and this eventually led to a lot of smoking and all of my fire alarms went off. I really like this and everybody enjoyed the pizza. But I'm going to only use it in the oven or in my smoker going forward. The craftsmanship on it is very good and has two handles on either side to pick it up. The other downside to cooking on a stove top is if you touch any part of the body you're going to get burned. But overall I'm very happy with it and may even change my review to a five-star if it works well in a barbecue or oven. I plan on trying both methods. But for now I definitely recommend it and happy with it. Just not going to cook it on the stove top ever again.

AMAZING! Works with electric stove!
Lately I’ve been getting into making homemade pizzas, and pretty much mastered the process with a pizza stone. I thought that this would imitate a pizza oven and thought that would be amazing if possible, but given my pizza stone results, I didn’t think they could get any better.I don’t have a gas range, so I was hoping this would work with an electric stove which definitely gets hot enough. The good news is, it definitely works! With electric stove:Although I haven’t been able to max out the 1000° temperature yet, in roughly 40 minutes, the included thermometer reaches 500°F, although when I use my laser thermometer to check the insides I’ve seen ahead upwards of 800°F. This is similar to preheating my oven with a pizza stone, although 800°F is definitely hotter. At this temperature, on my electric stove, I’m able to cook a pizza in 2 minutes, then it flip it around because the back does get hotter than the front due to the lack of door, and then cook it for 2 more minutes for a perfect pizza. And let me tell you this, I’m not trying to brag or anything, but these pizzas are the best pizzas I’ve ever had from anywhere. I am severely impressed with the results. It’s very well made of solid steel, and has foldable handle so it’s easy to carry around and move. The pizza stone is a good size and very strong. And the pizza peel works to easily remove the pizza from the heat. The best part is, the actual oven comes fully assembled out of the box and you just need the screw on the handle to the peel. Although in order to fold the peel, you have to loosen the handle. All in all, if you’re a fan of homemade pizzas and want to take them to the next level, I definitely recommend this pizza oven kit. The pizzas are seriously amazing.

If you make pizza at home, this is worth the money
We've been making homemade pizza in our household for as long as I can remember. We've always done it in the oven on a pizza stone. Nothing fancy. Takes a while, about 20 minutes at 500, but it gets the job done.So THIS caught our eye while searching for a new pizza stone. It works like this: You pop this pizza oven on top of your gas range or outdoor gas burner, and that's it. Pizza goes on the stone, stone goes inside, and you cook the pie. That's all there is to it. No having to hook it up to gas, no special connections, nothing fancy or difficult or that you can't do because you're not handy enough.Seriously, we were making our first pizza in it just minutes after it came out of the box.Worked like a charm, too! Much faster cook times and the pie was delicious. The stone worked as well as our old one. It's thinner and will likely shatter if dropped, but is otherwise a good piece of hardware. One word of warning: The oven gets HOT! If you're careless in the kitchen, use extra caution. And be sure the space around it is clear. Again, use caution! This is basically just a stainless steel shell that takes in all the heat from your burner. The whole thing is almost as light as a heavy duty toaster, which was a surprise, and it's a breeze to put back in the box if you'll only use it now and then. Oh, and it comes with a pan w/ handle so you can take your piping hot pizza out of the oven like the pros do.Overall, not a lot to complain about!Do you NEED this in your life? Probably not. But if you like making pizzas at home and want to do it with a little more style, you'll have fun with this (especially using it outdoors during a summer get together, as we just did). All in all, a fun addition to your indoor AND outdoor cooking arsenal.
