I was pretty impressed with the quality of this rod for such a steal price! I bought it for my 5 year old daughter because she has difficulty with the other type of spool. This also came with a weight for practice casting and she has been using it and really getting the hang of it. I'm super pleased with this purchase. Shipping and packinging was perfect as well.

It's Okay, kind of works. the lanyard holes line up weird the way they have the spoll at the top instead of on the bottom. Also it requires tension before you can reel it in, so just simple cast and troll sucks. For a basic starter with kids it'll do the job but may want to spend a couple bucks more and get a better product.

It’s a fishing pole. It was supposed to come with a tackle box but it did not. It was packaged well and was easy to put together.

Got this as birthday gift for my 6 year old. It wont properly release to cast. Will cast about 10-15 feet then locks up. Have tried un-spooling all the string, re-spooling, still no good. Have tried various casting movements to see if it's user error, nothing. Just isn't working.

Consider buying One that is considered ‘heavy duty’ for your kids. One drop of this the wrong way and you’ve wasted $20.
