Only 1 seed out of the whole pack grew , and it was a regular sunflower, not the teddy bear one that I ordered

I did exactly what the packaging said to do, which was soak in water for 24 hours before planting. This was potted 10 days ago and already have sprouted. I’m excited to see what comes next.

The sunflower is absolutely amazing. What is fantastic about the sunflower is on one stand of the multiple heads of sunflowers the one I have depicted is the the of my tomato bed it grew to about 15 feet and so far I’ve counted 25 flowerheads off of one stem. The flowers are very fuzzy unlike traditional sunflowers really unusual look but I love them. If growing this flower make sure to have support for it otherwise it will bend once it reaches a certain height like minded. I received 70% germination rate and the flowers amazing

Got about half t grow

I soaked the seeds for 24 hours in a small cup, as the directions said. I had a seed tray already soaked with seed starting mix, and one by one I scattered the seeds as evenly as I could, put the lid on, and placed them in a bright, but indirect light window. Within 4 days they started coming up, and now, at 7 days I think they are all up. I did my best to count them and I believe I have right around 50 seedlings, which is 100% germination. I'm a seasoned gardener, and even I'm impressed with this rate! Best I've ever had for any seeds. There are a few pushing on the lid, so that has to be left off now. Impressed with the growth rate! I was hoping for 50% germination, so now I guess I'll give some away to my family and co-workers.

The sunflowers are growing and they are thriving, BUT this is absolutely not what is shown in the picture for the advertisement. According to what I have found, these look like wild sunflowers….not teddy bear sunflowers. While I am happy that they have grown, I wish they were what was actually advertised.

I love how easy these were to grow. The stalks were sturdy and flowers bloomed all the way up the stalk, which I’d never seen before in a sunflower! We did get a variety of blooms, only some of which turned out like the image of the teddy bear sunflower, but all are beautiful!
