After experiencing these in Europe, I finally switched to a simple duvet, cover and fitted sheet arrangement. This duvet has satisfied that need and met all expectations. I chose this particular duvet because of the ability to add a twin size extra on one side only - as my wife and I have different tolerances. But I ordered only a single, King size duvet to try it first. This fits perfectly on our Queen bed, allowing sufficient overhang on sides and the end of the bed - no tucking necessary (and no foot compression either!) and no one is uncovered unexpectedly. Upon unpacking, the duvet seemed very thin and light. I washed and dried it according to recommendations (yes, it is machine washable!) and inserted it in a 600ct Egyptian cotton cover. If fluffed up marvelously and is, by itself, both light and warm - I'll not need the twin extra. Per my wife, the cover of the duvet itself is a bit "crinkly", but I'm certain this will settle with repeated washings. My wife is a traditionalist, but I think she will agree that this was an excellent choice.

I love this down insert. Love it. I have tried different materials (synthetic just doesn't do it for me - it doesn't breathe like the down) and different fills. This is the perfect cover. It is definitely summer weight, but it still keeps you warm. It's a touch thicker than a blanket, but offers much more warmth than you'd get from a blanket. The snap system to add another on top of the whole cover or just half the cover is genius. You really can make your summer weight a winter weight in a matter of minutes (you have to buy another, obviously). And the fact that if I need to I can have a winter weight side and a summer weight side is awesome.I washed and dried this and it was very easy - it didn't bang around in the washer and it dried rather quickly for its size. When it arrived there were no odors or feathers poking out - and after the wash and dry the same is true.As another reviewer mentioned, the outer material is a little "noisy" but after the wash it improved significantly. I wouldn't have even noticed it pre wash if I wasn't listening for it. But I thought I would mention it because some might be sensitive to that sort of thing.For me this is the perfect cover - I just bought two twin size (make sure the cover you get is for a twin XL because it's longer than an average twin) for my kids. I figure I can always use them to make my king winter weight if I need to :).

So nobody else makes this mistake...I was expecting the entire "system", I guess I misunderstood the ad. The package contains 1 of the down comforters. Which is a summer weight. It appears to be a very lightweight twin size, summer weight, down comforter. A descent quality. I feel the price is way to high for the 1 part of the system. If it had contained both parts I would have given it 5 stars.So my dilemma is paying $200. for a twin size winter weight down comforter. I haven't decided quite what to do yet... as I browse through Amazon I can purchase 2 summer weight comforters for about $100. I can easily install the snaps as I have the equipment to do so.... or just buy a winter weight comforter. I love the idea of this sleep system, but I think the price is outrageous & the ad misleading. So I have to do some additional shopping & make choice.

To understand my full appreciation for the company I think the more info than just my opinion of final product is needed.The ProductThis product is great, I ordered 2 as I am cold natured and put them together immediately. The snaps are strong - to the point I was worried about the stitching and fabric around them but this isn't an issue. The stitching all around is sturdy and very clean. They are thinner than I expected but still nice and warm. It was a little cooler last night and I was very comfortable, I look forward to seeing how they perform once freezing temps hit. They are on the crisper side of things, but I like that so it's not a downside and the cotton seems to be high quality.Cliffnotes backstory/CompanyI originally ordered 2 queen comforters, knowing I am cold natured and would need more than one once the Colorado winter hits in our new home which will probably be cooler than the last place we were at. Unfortunately we received unfilled shells and returned with no plans to order again. I left an unpleasant review which I regret in retrospect as I'm not really a person who normally leaves bad reviews without giving the seller a chance to make it right. It sounds like there was an error in the inventory having some sent before complete. Not sure what the deal was there, but the customer service is outstanding.Anyway, a few days later a new set of comforters arrived at my house free of charge. In all of my communication with the seller since then has been phenomenal. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the product. I would have no problem buying from this company again. Even the amazon customer service rep I spoke to along the way said she had never seen a company do this. I am most grateful.

Love this light weight, yet warm, duvet. I live in Southern California so was looking for a duvet which would not be too heavy. The snap on system is interesting and I may order a twin sized one for my side when winter comes. The fabric is very soft. This would have received five stars except for, as other reviewers have mentioned, it does have kind of a noisy crunching sound happening when you move. Hopefully that will resolve as I wash it. I wouldn't let that stop me from purchasing, however.
