35 oz Bella Sun Luci Sun Dried Tomatoes Halves in Olive Oil Pack of 2

I love Bella Sun Luci sun dried tomatoes. My problem is the jar arrived damaged and leaking and there is no way to contact the seller and Amazon says this cannot be returned.In summary: I received a damaged jar of tomatoes and I can't get a refund or replacement.

I love sun dried tomatoes. I used to purchase the Bella brand from Publix. I moved out of state where Publix is not located. Sam's Club used to sell sun dried tomatoes, but, it was not Bella Sun Luci. The flavor was not as good. I looked up my brand on Amazon and was pleased to find that they sell it! This brand has a sweet taste to it; and, the mixture in which the sun dried tomatoes marinates has an awesome flavor! In Publix, the size of the jar was small and medium. Amazon's product is a large jar of 35 oz!I make this purchase every month. The jar is heavy and thus, bubble wrapped securely. This is an item I hope Amazon will always sell.

Definitely the best. I used to buy these jars all the time at Costco, but they quit carrying it where I live. I was delighted to see the big jar for sale here at Amazon, and although the shipping is high, the product is worth it. I've tried some other brands of sun dried tomatoes, they are uniformly awful, usually tough, overly dried, an unappetizing color, ugh, just terrible. These are lovely moist slices, I consider them to be a staple in my pantry. The oil, by the way, is delicious with Italian herbs, I use it on grilled cheese sandwiches and they are divine ... this is best when the jar is nearly empty so you can a nice dose of the herbs that are in the bottom of the jar ... use a pastry brush, and paint light amount on the outside of the slices of bread, no need to overdo it. Grill in frying pan, both sides, and savor the result, you will be delighted, I promise. The oil is an added bonus, in my opinion, whereas with other brands, meh, discard. I considered buying a jar of the julienned tomatoes as well as the halves, but decided to just go with the halves, I can cut them thin myself if that's what's needed. Looking forward to receiving my latest order, and regardless of the shipping cost, if this is how I have to get them, I'll do it, they're that good. I saw after one of the other reviews that these are supposedly going back into Costco stores, but that's not the case where I live.

As with so many foods, all sun dried tomatoes are not created equally. There are, unfortunately, far more lousy ones than good, and price or fanzines of label and container are no guarantees of quality. These are the good stuff, with consistent quality, flavor, and firmness. Go lighter than you think when you add these to a dish, they're potent, and can overpower lighter ingredients. When you're done with the tomatoes, save and use the oil for sautéing - it's packed with great tomato-herb flavors.

These sundried tomatoes have a great flavor. I do keep them in the refrigerator after using. Take out earlier than needed to allow the Olive Oil to liquify. It comes packed to the top. A few at the very top are not in Olive Oil. A bit pricey but they can last a long time. Overall I like them. I used to buy my pasta stuff from an Olive Bar in another store but it is only an East Coast store. Had to find something else to use.

Small jars of sun dried tomatoes tend to be expensive. These seem to be a good deal per oz. The flavor is really good. I use them in omelets and my deluxe grilled cheese!!!!! A little of the oil leaked from the sealed lid during shipping. They wrapped the jar in bubble wrap but its heavy and still took a hard hit during shipping that dented the lid and made the seal gap. It was ok though. I would certainly order again!

A bit on the pricey side, but they are so yummy. I was lucky, and the jar was not broken when it arrived today. Apparently, they’ve had some complaints because it was very well packed. I can’t wait to use this in my next focaccia bake :-)
