Sweet
This is the fifth book in this series. This one is about Sutter and Paige. Sutter left Rust Creek, five years ago, leaving everyone including Paige behind. Paige is a school teacher who has spent the last five years trying to get over her broken heart. Paige is trying to learn to open her heart again. Sutter needs to find a way to earn her trust back. Those two are just trying to work it out. This was a fun story in the Rust Creek series.

A nice little story
When my mind starts wandering and I skip pages I try to analyze why. I got tired of Paige' s whining and Sutter' s willingness to bend over backwards. In the end whining Paige got her way. If I had been Sutter I would have told her to go to hell.

A Disappointment for This Reader.
I love this series but could have done without this story. Very Frustrating!Sutter Traub is back in town. He took off five years ago for Seattle leaving behind his family and the love of his life. He had a disagreement with his family, the town and his girl involving his brother, Forrest, who was signing up for a second tour of duty. Sutter thought one tour was enough as he could see the emotional soul-deep changes that had already taken root. It was only his opinion but everyone, besides Paige-his one and only, turned against him. Without much thought he wanted out of there. His only concern had been his brother's mental and physical safety. He asked Paige to get engaged and leave with him. Paige was not in a good place to leave. Her beloved grandmother was ill and dying and she was one of her caretakers. She was also in college locally earning her teaching degree and didn't want to leave in the middle of it. He refused to try and understand and left without another word and had not been in touch for five years. I must say that these two were supposed to be madly and completely in love. Their future together had been planned and mapped out. How could she be 'his one and only' and never get in touch with her while he was gone? He only came home to assist with the flood damage and he was heading back to his new thriving business in Seattle. In my heart of hearts I have to say I question what he really felt for her. I don't think it could have been the kind of love he claimed it was. He easily moved away and had women at his constant disposal while Paige struggled to live day to day with her brokenness and crushed heart and spirit. She spent those five years grieving for him, doing whatever she could to stay busy and keep her mind off of him. You may say that she could have made a move. I understand why she did not. He left her...point bland and never checked in with her again to see if she changed her mind which she had. He had a constant flow of hot women in his bed. Does that say he loved her beyond all others? And to top it all off he placed all the blame on her, saying it was all her fault for not making an immediate decision to go with him. It made me sick to my stomach. I stayed angry and frustrated throughout this book and was relieved when I had finished. For me, this was the least favorite of this series and it still bothers me every time I think of it.
