Great Book
Although I grew up near where all of these floods occurred, it was shocking to actually see the extent of them along with the aftermath. Terrific photos and text explaining what you’re seeing.

Should be 'Floods of North-Eastern New Jersey'
A well-done book about some of the floods that have devastated sections of our state, but it focuses exclusively on the north-eastern section of the state. For example, there is nothing about the devastating flood that hit the Lake Hopatcong area in August 2000 after a localized all-day deluge. And the chapter on Hurricane Irene ignores the effects on the western part of the state, such the flood that occurred in the village of Long Valley, where a man became stranded in his car and had to be rescued by cable. Also, the chapter of Hurricane Sandy states the storm beginning the evening of Tuesday, October 29th 2012, which was actually a Monday.

Good reference and/or history book
A comprehensive look at the floods in the region where I grew up -- and experienced. Many interesting historic photos. Unfortunately, given the history of north Jersey, updated versions are all but guaranteed.
