DELTA GIDDS-193290 Sturdifit 5-Piece Bathtub Wall Kit, 60", White

Used this surround in our renovation of our rental which is a 1970s double wide. We had two bathrooms both needed new surrounds and updating. we installed two different surrounds in total, the first surround we got from the plumbing company we hired to replace the tub in the master also, their surround was less aesthetically pleasing, came as one piece and shallow brittle shelves. We decided to go ahead and order one on Amazon due to the unique sizes needed for mobiles (53 1/2 in long) and not wanting to pay the high cost of the one installed by the plumber. We received this promptly and planned to do it a few days later, but ended up not getting time seo on a return visit to fix issues with their install we had the Plumber install this one, he grumbled about the amount of cuts needed and amount of sizes in the beginning. After a quick install he had never had an easier time installing and would start using these when they. The quality is 3 times the other surround the shelves are deep and numerous, the plastic is thick, the white is a true winter white with a gloss sheen that really made the bathroom despite the 1970s avacado green tub ( it even looked modern wow!)

I just installed one of these for a customer of mine. It was a pleasure to install. For a normal 5' tub you should not have to worry about making any cuts - there is enough adjustment in the unit to just install it. The tub I was working on was a little off-level at one end, so I did have to trim one of the large panels to have it all line up. I just used my jig saw at a slow speed and cut right through it, nice and clean - just lay down some wide masking tape on the panel and let your saw ride on that to prevent any scratches on the plastic from the tool. I was on the jobsite for several days working on other things, so I only installed 1 of the panels each day, and let it dry overnight. I have several spring loaded poles, used to hold up plastic sheets for temporary walls, and I braced these against the panel and the opposite wall and let the panels dry until the next morning. It really came out nice, and it is a huge improvement over the old thinner walls that I removed. Oh - be sure to have at least 4-5 tubes of shower panel adhesive handy to complete the install.

The first shipment was damaged, so this is definitely a product that may be prone to damage ( shipped from Washington to Minnesota). When the replacement arrived, I'm pleased to say that it was just as everyone said. A sturdy tub wall. The installation instructions suggest using 100% silicon for the sealant and anything that doesn't react to plastic for the glue. It is 60 inches tall which was shorter than I had realized. In the picture you can see the shower head within the tub wall. You would have to be pretty short to comfortably take a shower if that picture is accurate although the shelving is accurate in the picture. My shower head is a good 8 inches higher than the height of the tub wall. All in all, I'm pleased with the product.

To say the box was damaged upon delivery doesn't even begin to describe what It looked like. Remember those old American Tourist luggage commercials with the ape from years ago......That is what my first thought was upon seeing the box leaning against my front door. 4 of the 5 panels are damaged in the corners, and one in two spots. I can't be bothered sending unit back, plus I need to trim some so I think I can make it work, even with the broken pieces. It may very well be a good product, but whoever did the shipping or warehousing didn't care what condition it showed up at my door.

Corner was broken off on upper right panel. Other than that it met our needs.

We will be throwing this away and tiling the shower. We can't return it because it has already been cut. What a waste of money. Even with a professional helping, we could not get this to work. Trouble with lining it up and sealing edges and surrounding areas. Seems very cheap.

As the others have said: This unit is made of substantial material. It is easy to work with and it is attractive. Highly recommended.

fit well in space for my tub. installed with no problems and looks very nice .looks like the seal will hold good.
