Wonderful! The kids enjoyed this book, I can't wait until the next two come out. Tony Robinson is so smart and funny.

Like 'Horrible Histories' but a bit infantile rather than informative. Has jokey comments and cartoons all over the place but you can hardly see them and certainly can't read the text on them when reading the book on a Kindle as they are too small!. No cunning plan here. Very disaappointing.

Great for kids of all ages. Nice blend of humour and history. I've learnt more about history than all my time at school.

My seven year old son enjoyed this book, and was keen to tell me all the things the Romans did so an obvious hit as it has developed understanding of history. It begins talking about a Goddess who becomes pregnant and I initially wasn't sure if the wording wasn't suitable for a seven year old but on reflection it didn't say anything much and it was only one small part. Overall good book.

This book is great. It's the first book by Tony Robinson that I have read although I couldn't say why. It's very informative and has a great sense of humour. My children and I are studying Romans and this has enabled me to add lots of colour to our learning and discussions.I will definately be buying more of the series.

Great series of books - fun and educational. Great for reading with children and Interesting for everyone. Have a look at his book on kings and queens of england, that's very good as well.
