Excellent razor sharp knife
I've used this type of knife for decades. Very simple to change the razor blade, very easy to buy more, easy one handed open and close. Its my preferred way to open boxes, etc. A bit of care is needed when cutting thick cardboard or the blade will pull out, happens very rarely and its easy to push the blade back into the handle.Amazon says I've bought 7 of this model, I wish I knew where I put them all. Probably gave a couple away to friends. This is my favorite go to knife, I keep one in my desk drawer, one in the kitchen, one in my tool bag, one in my car center console.

No sharpening, just change the blade.Explore the range of blades availablee, Serated, Hook, Carbide, Scraper edge the possible uses make this an inexpensive, well-made and most of all VERSATILE pocket knife. The Construction is solid, blade lock makes it safe and the large spring clip insures its ready availability.Buy extras for each of your tool kits and glove boxes, a deceptively valuable and useful tool that you'll be glad to have at hand when you need a knife!

Almost perfect for my needs; would prefer less blade play.
I think I am ruined on folding utility knives because I got a glorious prototype or early production model from Superknife back in the day. It had the quick-change stud and the tidy original size. Worked flawlessly. I lost it about 8yrs ago and haven't seen another one like it since. :-(Since then I have bought many folding utility knives over the years trying to recapture that first love. All of them have fallen short for various reasons. This knife is close enough that I will probably stop looking.Nitpicks:* Standard blades like the one that came with it are held securely (won't come out accidentally in my experience) but have a significant amount of play. This will not affect my usage but means the knife would not be suited for close/accurate work. Haven't tried contractor blades but I'd guess they'd fit more snugly and wiggle less. If you are a stickler for no play this isn't the one for you.Note: I have ZERO TOLERANCE for utility knives that allow their blades to fall out at random. Looking at YOU, Husky. I have not had any such experience with this model's function.* I don't particularly care for the extra .5" in length caused by, one assumes, a gap left for a lanyard. It makes the overall proportion look weird. And a generic complaint about most folding razor knives I've used:* The front/top edge of the blade holder (just above the exposed blade) has a jutting and acute angle on it; this seems be the rule in folders like this rather than being particular to this model. I dislike this edge because it catches on my pocket sometimes when I am clipping it back on. A few strokes of a file make the edge/corners much smoother and less likely to catch on cloth.

Was and is a great knife, wish Gerber could leave well enough alone
This is not as good as the original superknife, But at this time it’s what we have. Gerber has purchased the rights to manufacture the superknife And it’s still probably the best folding razor knife out on the market today. It’s small and very pocketable all metal and no plastic it holds a standard razor blade this designed for all sorts of other nice and it’s cheap to buy and available anywhere. The one flaw that was introduced when Gerber took over production is that the safety can be bumped and caused the blade to come loose but I have only had that issue occasionally… It is not been a frequent problem. It is something you can solve by using something to jam that release but I haven’t worried about it. Another option would be to drill a hole through where the razor blade has a groove and put a thread and a screw… That has been done on other knobs, even one Gerber has out on the market in order to lock the blade in place. Another option would be to drill a hole through where the razor blade has a groove and put a thread and a screw… That has been done on other knives, even one Gerber has out on the market in order to lock the blade in place but then you would need a screwdriver to change the blade.Amazon as far as I can tell is the cheapest place to purchase this knife. Though you can find it at some of the big box stores.I have now bought two of them and I think it is a good value for money I just wish they had not messed around with the blade release.

Excellent Utility Knife
I have owned the original SuperKnife for several years and it has served me well. I have only owned this knife for a short time but over all seems to be an improvement on an already good design. The construction seems very solid. The pocket clip is sturdy and the moving parts are made to a tight tolerance and work smooth. My only complaint would be that this model doesn't have a lanyard hole in the handle. Which is a minor detail that is forgivable. Overall this is the best quality folding utility knife I have ever seen.

DANGER! blade will come out with little or no warning.
The media could not be loaded. So, got new box knife on Friday. My first day back to work was today, Sunday. Before I had even used it for an hour (cutting cardboard) I had the blade come out during a cut. At first I thought maybe I had accidentally pressed the release bar down, so I made sure to pay attention to where I was gripping the knife. Within a few minutes, out comes the blade again, and I'm certain I didn't press the release down this time. So I popped the blade back in place, and the issue just got worse through the day. After every cut I made, I was tapping the tip on the table to put it back in position. There was one instance that the blade came out so rapidly, I lost it somewhere. The problem persisted even with a new blade. I bought this because the previous utility knife I bought, the lock/safety gave out after 3 weeks, and the blade was being able to close back toward my hand while in use.Why is it so difficult to make a sturdy hand tool that can be relied on day in and day out if you take reasonable care of it?

Useful tool/knife
A good addition for your EDC gear; compact size & pretty sharp. Bought it because it's made off aluminum. Already had the spare blades. Truly a super knife!

Excelente producto
Me parece una navaja bastante buena y práctica, se oculta de manera muy fácil y el cambio de cuchilla es sencillo.

Me gusto bastante
