Diamond Original NR770HB 144/440 MHz Dual-Band Mobile Antenna, Black, Gain: 3.0/5.5 dBi, Connector: PL-259, Fold Over, Length: 38.5"

Replaced a unit w/a slightly longer antenna, which had blown off the roof twice, this one's been nice and steady, no problems, although did get the Diamond NR770HB dual-band antenna to go with, which is slightly shorter but which matched practically 1.1:1 right out of the box on 144 (which I use far more than 440)

I have 4 Diamond antennas and every one is excellent for the range of frequencies they are designed for. The quality of the materials is also excellent. You get what you pay for.

I bought this for Field Day to use with my portable QRP radio and it worked great!

Works good for an antenna of its length. Like another I have (62" Super Gainer), I'm able to easy hit one of my regular use repeaters across the Sacramento valley (east side of valley foothills <> bay area) with a little flutter (expected) and have had no problems receive/transmit.I have it mounted about half way up/down on the back hatch door on one of my SUV's. Works pretty good compared to a handful of other antenna's I have in the same length/height.I use taller antenna's, but when tight in the woods I sometimes need a little shorter height to help keep clear of tree branches while moving/mobile and this one will work. Will keep it in the cargo area - not going to stay in the garage like many others I have.Seems very nice quality. I tried it today on the highway and get just a little wind noise, but I was listening for it, otherwise may not have noticed.SWR's [email protected] > [email protected] per antenna analyzer.Note: check & re-check tightness all hex set screws before use. It does come with a hex key (although I always toss them since I have my own nice sets).No regrets and will keep with the vehicle.

Great antenna right out of the box.

I assembled the antenna as soon as it arrived and installed it on my vehicle. I put the element in as far as it would go (bottomed it out) and when I put it on an SWR meter at 146.52, the meter barely moved with my radio set to 50 watts.I frequently check that the set screws are still tight, and so far they haven't backed out even a little. I'd definitely recommend this antenna.

Great antenna. However, it got too corroded to fold over a little after a year. Not happy about that, since the folding capability was the primary reason for buying it, so I can go into parking garages without having to remove it.If you, like I, live in a salt belt state, I recommend regularly oiling the folding mechanism.
